  • £2.43 left in a different account so just transferred that across - slow and steady!
  • Pleasantly suprised with some of my Ebay sales that ended this morning :D £69.22 to add to total.
55p saved using petrol coupon, but  at the rising prices again :(

Also scrimped a kitchen table my neighbour was throwing out, this will go in the shed and be used as a workbench. Wont add any savings for this because i would of never paid any cash for a work bench in the first place, but a useful "find" :)

    Happy Birthday PLMBL!

Monkey nut, what's the sparkle fund on your signature? Sorry for being nosey it just caught my eye and looked interesting! :-)

:o I should have put my Sparkle fund back down to £0 a good few weeks ago now as I'm distinctly not sparking lately!

This was a thread started by TheMoneySpider, as we find so often we get so focussed on money and debts, that we forget about ourselves as well. THe link to the thread is here
My sparkle fund was added to when I did a certain amount of exercise etc, with the intention that it could be used to treat or reward myself, and be able to spend that bit of money on myself guilt free, as I'd 'earned' the privilege!

My partner went to the shop to buy some cordial for work I told him not to buy any treats as I'm on a diet and it's empty money he said he wont.. On his return he showed up with 3 bag full :o I was fuming inside but kept quiet, he started to show me what he bought.... A full size chicken reduced from £4.60 to £1.15 :o .... 2 huge packs of steak reduced from £6.50 to £1.20 :o 2 packs of mince beef meatballs from £3.00 to 80p :o some big packs of diced chicken... 3 for £10 he got for £1 each :o i couldn't believe it, all this stuff is what I usually buy on my friday weekly shop aswell so I won't need to buy it this week as I've put it all in the freezer... from the savings he made I've worked it out he's saved £18.75 compared to the usual I get :D I think he's done well for a newbie :p

Well used my £4 off a £60 spend when I did the work shopping so got £4 off free food. Will add that and take it out of my weekly allowance and put in my jar.
As MR T made a bit of a balls up of advertising an offer outside that is not being run anymore, I complained when brought it and it didnt do the deal. They honoured the deal so saved work some money, but it gave another Petrol voucher when girl refunded and re run through the till. Nice assistant said I shouldnt really get it but has I had to wait for ten minutes whilst she sorted it out I could have it, so now have enough petrol discount vouchers for the next two weeks so that will save me about £3 a week.

Need to do some more surveys tonight as nearly at £10 and will get a Mr S voucher so will save a whole weeks shop money.
