Oooh, I'm off to the bootfair tomorrow morning, haven't been in ages. I don't think I'm very good at looking out for bits and pieces that are worth lots, despite many a day when I was first on Maternity Leave watching bargain hunters, cash in the attic etc.

I totally forgot as well when I was on here a few days ago, my OH had just double checked his payments gone out for the start of the month, and the last payment on an old loan of his had gone out, which was the last debt that he had left :j:j

I don't think I realised what an amazing achievement this actually was, and probably left him feeling a bit deflated by my lack of enthusiasm, probably as I didn't want him thinking he was off the hook, as since starting his debt free journey, which has been our journey together really as we were just moving properly in together to our own place after pretty much living together at my parents anyway, and as we were expecting DS1 it sort of became 'our' DFW journey rather than just his, but anyway.. since starting, we have taken on new debts, which are in my name as his credit rating was in pieces, so we are not technically Debt Free, but all of the 'Old' debts that we started with, are GONE :j:T
And the ones left were all planned out and budgeted for, for specific things, i.e loan to buy a car, and DFS 0% finance loan. (oh, and my old student account overdraft which I used to pay off a few bits at the start as it's 0% so made sense, and is 'only' £1000 now.

So actually, on reflection, it is a big achievement for us, and means that the hardest part is well and truely over, as really, while I don't want to owe anything to anyone, we have no outstanding debts or arreas anymore :j:j:j:j:j:beer:

  • Thanks for all the concern everyone. We always knew DH's recovery would take around 3 years and we are only 15 months in so quite a way to go yet, but the seizures were a big shock as it hadn't happened before.

I've also just found out I'm pregnant with #3 so it's all go!

  • Plmbl Congratulations that's brilliant news!

Another £5 to add from eBay and loads more left to list or relist. I can't imagine not having anything left to eBay, that's what having kids does to you I suppose!

Enjoy the evening sunshine everyone! :-)
