  • Just received a £15 marks and Spencers gift card from cashing out my maximiles so I'll add that to my total, and thus get started.:D

Regarding the counting savings thing, I do... but only if it is a genuine saving such as I was going to spend £2 on something and then thanks to a coupon or a sale it only cost me £1 then I put the £1 I saved aside and count that. It really boosts my savings account too.

Has anyone else started to do the nectar points surveys? I just registered for it and was just wondering how people found them and if they get many.

    £12 from ebay today just.

Seem to be in a bit of a cant-be-bothered phase for last few days. Maybe overdid it on ebay listings over the weekend. Need to get back on track as current ebay stuff isnt gonna make me rich!

Ps I don't know if this has been mentioned before but my latest selling place is Facebook. (please ignore if you all have been aware of this for years) but my local town has a "Seek and Sell" facebook page where you can sell everything and ANYTHING!!! And all with no fees!!! You also tend to get more money for your items.

I agree with your opinion of coupons to some extent, your example is what I do too. But most coupons allow you to get branded items cheaper than value products, even free. Take the popular Lenor coupon, £1 off Lenor, regularly on offer in tesco and sainsburys for £1 so you can get it free.

This thread isn't about saving money, it's about going the extra mile to make money, increase your income. Yes, some of us add coupons as that £1 coupon is effectly a £1 coin.

Your very lucky to get handouts and that's great but someone had to buy it in the first place and usually that someone is me! So when I do I shop in the sale, online for cash back and discount codes and primark. But again, this is saving money not making money.

I'm curious, how do you make extra money?!

Beautifully worded Nat, I'm pleased this thread is still as friendly and curtious as it was on day one.
And yes I too am a little curious how you make more money? Do you sell your veg? Or is this an option for you?
Good luck everyone in the challenge however you count your money "made" or "saved" its a personal challenge
