Love those shoes- refuse to refund me?

Hi all, sorry for the long post but looking for some advise regarding this refund.
I purchased a pair of scholl shoes from 'Love those shoes' as they are specific shoes for athritis, and cost me £53.
After wearing the shoes once they broke- i emailed the company who requested that i return them. I did so and they agreed that they were faulty through no fault of mine.
They agreed to locate a new pair and then send them out to me. They have tried but have failed to find another pair, at this point i asked for my money back.
They then 'tried' to return my money to the same account it left but they have stated it could not be accepted- i have contacted my bank sho stated that there is no problem with the account and that the money can be transfered, and suggested they try again.
I contacted love those shoes again and updated of this but they have stated that they have now gone into adminstration and so they can not refund me the money. They have suggested that i drive to manchester (from south wales) to collect the faulty shoes and take them to a cobbler.
I am really at a loss now and dont know what to do?? any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Normally I would suggest sending a letter before action and then advising you escalate to small claims but if they are in administration that will be throwing good money after bad; nevertheless you are a creditor of the company in that you are owed money - so you could send a letter requesting a refund.
Chances are you lost the money.
However HOW (by what method) did you PAY for your shoes?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Depending on how and when you bought them (Debit or Credit card, how long ago was this ?) Contact your card issuer to action a dispute for faulty goods.0

Thanks both. I paid for them by debit card and it was about 2 months ago now that i originally paid for them.
Is it worth contacting schol directly or should i just contact my bank and try to get the money back that way? I know it is 'only' £50 but i am so annoyed about it!
Thanks again0 -
It's not "only" £50 at all.
Are you sure they've gone into administration?0 -
The Consumer Credit Act doesn't cover debit cards so you're unlikely to get satisfaction this way.0

Why would Scholl refund you? You didn't buy them from Scholl, they MAY offer to replace but as you don't have the faulty shoes they won't want to know.0

Remember these, suggest you take a look here

A Visa dispute for faulty goods would work. This is not the same as a Section 75 claim under the CCA. Chargebacks can be actioned on both Visa Debit and Credit Cards.
As long as the OP explains that the retailer is no longer trading and that they have tried to resolve the issue themselves a chargeback can be actioned.
A chargeback has to be actioned within 120 days of the debit. Contact your card issuer OP.0
