However, we are generally quite restricted on our holiday dates and sometimes we have no option but to use them (if we want to go away).
I presume the OP was talking about the size of the company, rather than the quality and service.0 -
The room in our 5* hotel had big black mould patches and it stunk of damp. We wasted the first day of 7 looking at alternative rooms but they were all just as bad.
We went to Rui Palace Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Not just you reporting a problem with mould, etc., then...

I recently complained about the Thomson Majesty to the Thomson team with regards to the lack of baby changing facilities, cleanliness, over crowding, and general standards, of course I received the expected response:- we have conducted an extensive investigation and found that on all accounts the results met or exceeded our standards.
This does not come as any surprise when I've read all the other complaints posted on various internet sites, however what really has annoyed me was the attitude of the complaints team specially JULIA SIMPSON she lied to me continually and blatantly via email and telephone, when I asked for reasons for this i was totally blocked by the team from responding or posting on their Facebook page even the blog, all I get is ''please get advise from a third party'' ie: get a solicitor, why on earth do I needs solicitor to get answers to very basic questions.
If anyone has had similar experiences could they please advise how to get answers.
Thanks Ian0 -

I was under the impression it's 28 working days. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. When I was growing up my father would always tell me that my best friend was my pocket!0 -
The star system is misleading , I understand that stars are awarded beause the hotel has certain facilities , not because the quality of the facilities are good . I have stayed in some wonderful '2 star' places .Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0

Correct, in the world of package tours the star rating refers to the facilities and not necessarily how luxurious the hotel is, though you would expect something with a 5 star rating to be well presented and clean.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
