Only if you can find a spot out of the wind.
  • Thank you all for taking time to reply and give me your suggestions it's very much appreciated.

We had our 1st experience of All Inc this year and it didn't really live up to our expectations so unless the price was really, really good I think we would stick with SC.
We had thought about the Caribbean but was just a bit worried about it still being hurricane season?
Not sure about the weather in Cape Verde? I know we have guarenteed weather anywhere but I've read that it is also quite windy and cloudy at that time of year?
I think we are leaning towards to Gran Canaria or Tenerife for 10/11 nights as neither of us have been there.

Thanks again for all your replies

  • Tenerife is a lovely island, and in my opinion has some of the nicest hotels I've ever been to. I personally like all inclusive there, but there are plenty of reasonable places to eat if you don't. I'd say for couples, Costa Adeje was probably the best resort on the island. Try looking into the Luabay Costa Adeje hotel. It's lovely.
  • clare1angel. We've been to Canaries and Egypt AI. We're just about to try Cuba (still hurricaine season) in a few weeks.

Gran canaria and Fueteventura for us, weather was fine but food not really much.

We have done Kusadassi in Turkey, Sharm - Club Magic Life and the food has been fab.

I'm happy to let you know how we get on in Cuba - the reviews on tripadvisor do enlighten people and are usually honest reviews. Do let me know if you'd like information!
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

I reiterate my suggestion of Egypt. The OP framed her question "Somewhere hot at the end of October". If heat and sunshine are the main priorities, Egypt is the place to go.

We have been there a number of times on an All Inclusive basis. If you do your research and get the best hotel you can afford, we have found the food, drink and surroundings to be very much a match for the Caribbean.

That was unlucky, Lanzarote has on average 3mm of rain a year!
  • We're going to the Riviera Maya, Mexico at the end of october. Hopefully as it's near the end of hurricane season we should be ok. We went in july last year and loved it.
  • Thank you again for all your replies :)

We've had a look at Costa Adeje and it does look lovely so that maybe in contention.
I had been looking at Egypt but we have chatted and have decided that SC would be our choice for this holiday although Egypt is now on the list of places to visit lol
I know the Canaries are a year round destination and it won't be mega hot but as long as the sun is shining and we can sunbathe for a few hours a day that will be fine.

    Thanks again
