Kingspan v Insulating foil

You can get free cavity wall and loft insulation at the moment. Why pay for it.
On the other hand Putting Kingspan (or foil which is no way as good) in the rafters will cause condensation if no roof vents are added. You can also buy plasterboard with polystyrene on the back to give a decorative surface for the walls.

I'm getting insulation next month but the cavity is only 20 - 30mm thick so won't take it.fatbikersbouncebetter wrote: »

The attic room only uses a small part of the rafters as part of a sloping ceiling so in effect it is like having a box within the loft so there is plenty of air to circulate to prevent condensation. I can walk around the outside of the room under the eaves to fit the kingspan by going through a small door. Think I will do it properly first time and not try to cut corners.
Thanks everybody for your advice :T0
