I haven't started getting sweets for my table yet but if any one lives in Yorkshire i have been advised to go to the Haribo factory shop in Pontefract for bargains and a big selection and I have also been told to try and get to one of the Thorntons outlet stores in York or Chester - so I will be heading off in a few weekends and shall report back.
Hope this helps someone.0 -

This is what I'm doing as I live in the area - sometimes a bit hit and miss with what they have in stock so maybe do a ring ahead before making a special visit. Tangerine factory shop is also in Pontefract - they do Barretts, Taveners, etc. Getting married in 7 weeks and want to go and buy them to tick them off the list...but I SO know they wouldn't last if we bought them now!!!

We were considering making a sweetie buffet, out of interest what are people using for the bowls/jars and scoops?
Also where is best to get the actual sweets, a factory shop?0 -

We have various bits of glassware, we have 4 or 5 jars from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00030262/), we got a set of 4 lovely glass jars from BHS a few months ago that must have been a special offer as I haven't seen them since, a couple of glass bowls from Ikea, and I got a few great bits from a car boot sale.
We were very kindly given some scoops by a colleague of OH who had used them at her wedding, and we ordered some tongs from eBay. The sweet bags were from eBay, and we got a free rubber stamp from Vistaprint that we are going to stamp all the bags with, and also a banner from Vistaprint for the front of the table.MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -

Hello,
Wondering if anyone can help. I have bought some vases on offer in Homebase for our sweet table which were good value. Does anyone know any good websites or places to buy sweets at a good price, I do not have access to a Macro or Costco as do not own a business. If anyone is able to help that would be appreciated.
Thanks x0
