What would happen to my credit if I switched from PAYG to Sim-only would it be used to pay for part of my first bill or would I just lose it?

what is the benefits of sim only aka pay monthly transfer, is it like a monthly contract sim card or a rolling 1 month contractLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0

It is pay monthly. It is not necessarily a 1 month contract.
It usually is 1, 6 or 12 months.
The benefit is that you can get lower price per min/text/MB than on PAYG.0 -
Sim only is usually the best deal because the phone company doesn't need to make their money back on the phone that you usually get as part of the contract. Generally speaking, contracts come in 18-24 month packages now; where as a sim only contract can be obtained with a short contract length as grumbler said.
They should offer the best deals out there.0
