Bright idea. Lets take out a 1 month policy in the dogs name and claim for the damage.
You get the car fixed cheaper than repairing it yourself and the dog gets increased premiums for the next 5 years if he wants to drive.
Next scratch insure it in the cats name.
But for just 1 months premium they have potentially the same risk as a yearly policy.
I would imagine their ideal solution would be £2000 for one days cover with 364 days free.
What on earth are you talking about? Insurance companies try to worm out of every claim possible, i'm sure they would spot something like this!0 -

Yes, as they are in use in another policy (and i've recently learnt you cannot use them on two policies). But many of these short-term quote companies don't even ask about NCDs, with prices still coming in £250-£300 :eek:.0
