TV with built in freeview HD recorder - do they exist?

    This would only be possible with two feeds into the TV from the aerial. With one tuner, this TV can only record the channel the TV is tuned to. These types of TV are really only designed for recording while you are not viewing.

    There are far better options available.

    What would you suggest?

    I'm looking for the cheapest combination of TV and freeview recording. I've found small cheap boxes that record to usb or sd cards, or refurbished pvr's of ebay.

    can't help but think a tv with a tiwn tuner and and a small inbuilt flash memory to record too (16gb usb sticks are only £6!) would be a huge selling point

    A completely separate Freeview PVR and television, the combis always seem to combine the worst (rather than the best) of both technologies. It was the same as far back as TV/VCR combos.
