Eon - the final insult!

I have been with E-On for several years now, but have finally closed my account with them.
The final statement tells me to call to finalise the account - yet the recorded message is telling me to call back "during their normal office hours" - 8am to 8pm. Unless I'm very much mistaken, that means there is still another hour to go for their call centre monkeys to be answering the phones!

Normal Office Hours would not always include a Bank Holiday0

And just realised my mistake - it's Bank Holiday back in the UK! I take it back.0

Who's the monkey now then?''Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by a$$holes.'' :whistle:0

It's okay, you should see some of the tricks us 'monkeys' learned when off the phones...0 -

I had a stint at BT and it is true to say whilst I was there I certainly was a 'monkey'. A horrible job, if you do it then hats off to you as I could handle 1 month only, mind numbing.0 -

Is that kind of rudeness really necessary?"So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -

My OH works in a call centre. He does it because he has to. Not for the love, but for the money.
The level of abuse that he is subject to at times is shocking. He has been called every name under the sun. And the callers are very keen on the 'c' word. He has had several female colleagues in floods of tears after being verbally abused on the telephone.
For you to refer to call centre handlers as monkeys is quite simply out of order. But then again, if you can't even figure out what time of the day it is...
And just to be childish, I hope your knew utility provider screws up your account. You will need all the help you can get from the 'monkeys' then.0 -
