National grid emergency service DO NOT deal with meter faults we will come out and make safe only we will not repair a faulty meter. Please do not follow this advice as it will NOT deal with the issue of call help, battery failed etc on your pre paid meter and you will still be off supply as it is an issue or your supplier to deal with via their metering asset management company.
Not only will you still be off supply, you will have wasted the your time waiting or the emergency engineer and that of the emergency engineer thus putting someone with a genuine risk to safety in potential danger,
depends on the engineer, as some of them will just like if sub meters are found some will remove others refer to togDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
The emergency service do change meters if required or make it safe. Then they send the details through to the suppliers on the Post Emergency Metering Service (PEMS) email files. The supplier then updates the MAM.
That's not saying the emergency service should be used for anything other than a true emergency BTW.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
