  • Crickey I've not posted for a while.
I'm behind and money is low had a set back with the car which hasn't helped but it's had to be done as well as tax and mot in the same month grrr.....oh well onwards and upwards.
Shopping is still a downfall for us the cost of our shop keeps creeping up.
I've sat and menu planned and will be getting my meat which is mainly chicken breast from makro once a month as well as a sack of potatoes which last a whole month. The rest will be bought on a weekly basis and a strict shopping list will be done.
I've set up a standing order to our spare account for Xmas presents which is set to £60 a month and we hold have around £350 in there which is plenty and I'm not buying anything till December and will search online to find each present as cheap as possible so I will be doing a Xmas list for the kids tonight.

Right today I made a list of things in my cupboard ie sauces etc
And I've built this weeks meal plan around it.
Today is tikka masala restaurante style which I found on the net. I've done it before and it's yummy but we love Indian food and even better when i Can try and replicate what we order to save money.
This week coming I plan to pre make sauces that I use on a regular basis ( when I make my spat Bol and make double quantities of the sauce or curry sauce and freeze ready to use when next needed to save time and possibly some electric and gas in the process)
I am putting my foot well and truly down and I'm determind to not step foot in tesco till the 28th at least lol because I start spending.
I've also decided to try and do my shop online again and not go in store and stick to my budget.
Mil had a spare homemade apple crumble which she said no one had bothered with which has been in the freezer for 2 weeks.....so of cause I accepted the offer to free up her freezer lol so that's Sunday pud sorted Yey !!!
She's also offered for me to nab some apples off her tree as she has too many....yes please il have them lol
Hoping for a great weekend of.......more cleaning lol

  • Wow not been on for a while to update.

Things are going well so far, that blance is oing down on my cred card, but nice I was last on had to pay for repairs on my car on the card so it was a set back :( but I've set up transfers each month to pay it off automatically so I don't get charged.

Have set up payments into spare account for Xmas pressies should have £300+ in their which shold be enough.
Me n dh have agreed to buy our sons big pressies and ours on Boxing Day in the hope we will get them around half price?

But will still buy them both plenty to open on Xmas but tell him he has been given money to spend and go out Boxing Day to hit the sales...especially toys and clothes.

  • Just logging in, and we've had a refund from natwest down to miss calculations on our old account so we've had just over £100 back!!!
So for the first time in months we've finally got out of the overdraft!!
    Very happy so far :)
