    What a little dear!

The best thing about cute kittens is that they grow into beautiful cats :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I got my kitten who was also born in a rescue centre, about 6 weeks ago, he was very shy, would not allow you to handle him or even look at him, he would run and hide. The rescue thinks that this was done to his Mum being ill and having to have lots of vet treatment which frightened her, then it rubbed off on her kittens.

However, I am pleased to report, that after some gentle exposure to people (I used to go and sit with him in our spare room which was 'his' room and just ignored him and let him come to me for a fuss which worked) that he is now actually, probably a bit over confident! Currently sat on the sofa cuddled up to my 2 y/o watching the paralympics!

I think with nervous kittens, like the other poster said, you have to gain their trust a bit. If you let them see you are not a threat, they will come around.

Good luck, and gorgeous kitty btw!

Fiona is so shy too, perhaps it is silver tabby girls?

  • She looks like a much younger/slimmer version of the big fat lump sat next to me now.

    She's gorgeous!

Fiona is over 2 yo now and still very shy and scared of everyone and everything. Phoebe, the black and white girl has to walk her up and down the stairs to the litter tray at night, Fione will not g by herself, she cries till Phoebe goes with her :)

And here when she was around Bella's age...

I have a silver tabby girl and believe me, she is not shy. When they have a BBQ next door she sits on their wall begging for food and tarting up to anyone who comes near her!

My black & white boy on the other hand jumps at his own shadow.
  • I had to post another photo of Bella. This came quite out of the blue this evening and she stayed sat there for 20 minutes or so. Hopefully this is a sign that she's becoming more comfortable with us.

You are obviously doing a great job with Bella as she looks so settled in this pic after the first couple where she looks rather scared. Georgeous little girl you have thier.
