Hi,
Is it ok to ask a quick question?
My profile shows that I have thanks 48 times in 15 posts - i have entered hundreds and hundreds of comps and I always always click the thanks button and I'm always logged in.
Why is the number of thanks so low?
I'm confused . . . .

it's how many times people have thanked you
so 15 of your posts have been thanked and the total number of thanks you have received is 48

I thought I might be able to see how many posts I've thanked (and therefore how many comps I've entered). It seems to only show 300 - I know I've thanked many more than that. Is there any way of increasing that search limit?

Nobody is going to thank you just for being there, you've got to tell them something they didn't know or write something interesting so they'll thank you if they agree.
If you find some new Comps to bring to peoples attention they'll start to thank you for the information.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Out of how ever many posts you have made on MSE 388 of them have been thanked, a total of 11808 times between them all.
