I didn't get it, and none of the 6 (genuine, not me with lots of email addresses) people I told about the offer got one either. My parents and inlaws bought the paper, and they wouldn't have done normally. I wish I hadn't said anything52% tight0

Same here - feelto have said anything to family. I entered the code at 9.am on the dot (despite the paper having different times to RSH) after an early trip to the newsagent. Friends and family who did the same received nothing either. We've wasted money buying the paper
. Not very MSE! (plenty of Posh Guinea pig toilet lining though
)
There seems to be something inconsistent ( at best) or unfair about the way this has been advertised and handled. Doesn't give much faith in RSH tbh.
Will stick to Trainline :cool:0 -
Apparently RSH (Facebook) say all the vouchers were used, and that everyone who registered for one (new or old account holders) should get an email (yesterday!)
I too, purchased the newspaper as I wasnt sure if the voucher code was generic or not .... I know at least 5 people who registered along with me, have still yet to receive voucher or confirmation email. (Maybe if the voucher was unique per paper, it would stop people double, or triple registering without having to buy only 1 copy of the paper)
RSH say voucher is ONLY valid until 31 DEC 2012, meaning you have 9 months to travel as you can book 3 months in advance. The expiry oh 31 Dec 2020 is an error and they are looking into this.
In all honesty, they have been pretty good at replying to FB queries, mainly from inpatient people demanding the code. - that said, there was a small issue in regards to when this offer was valid from, with both Telegraph and RSH Website giving conflicting information.
Lets just hope everyone that wants one, gets one, otherwise I can see there being an awful lot of emails sent to RSH over the next week or so.0 -
Just checked my account. No email and nothing for me.
My son got one though.0 -
Looks like I have missed the boat on this occasion too. Registered for the promo am on the day it was offered but, sadly no email for me either. Got to agree, the web site/design is really awful - sally0

I got one on my account. However the one I made earlier for someone else in our house did not. It does not seem like it was first come first serve.0 -
Seeing how they are using the word 'winners' in relation to the Promo, tells you everything.
This wasn't a First Come First Serve basis.0 -
Considering the number of people who failed to 'win' one of these vouchers, I'm sure there are now many unwanted accounts.
We've emailed to close the account with RSH opened for the purpose of this voucher, as clearly we don't trust RSH and will not be using them and been told it is NOT possible to close it!:mad:
So it seems this fiasco is actually a lottery rather than the stated 'first come first served' to gain a voucher, costing us to buy the paper, but the winners are RSH who have a considerable number of new accounts and personal details ( email addresses, postcode, names, phone) of people who have been duped by this promotion. RSH have even confirmed on their fb page that it is not possible to close an account. It's disgusting.
I feel very angry that we are unable to close the account, and to withdraw personal information from being stored like this. The shambles of the 'promotion' was bad enough!
Any ideas anyone?0
