Seems your experience of Jessops staff on the High Street varies greatly with mine at numerous branches, from the South coast up to London.

Regulatory stockholding announcements on the London Stock Exchange website for holdings >6%, traded volumes and press reports.

High street shops selling cameras with 'knowledgeable' staff who were last seen as 1-star burger !!!!!! at McDonalds aren't going to beat online stores for value and service.

Do you want fries with that?

Yes, I see Deutsche Bank and Tilney have been buying - here. Must be up to something.

Interesting - thanks, rbulph. I have a feeling I'm going to regret not investing in Jessops shares.

My family greatly value being able to see, test, and buy cameras, films, etc, via informed, helpful staff, .

And thats part of the problem. We all do that, find the product we like in the shop and then go home and buy it on the internet wherever we can find it cheaper

Even better than that - Jessops have long offered to match any online price (just take a print-out as proof).

Please can share aware folk, here, impart some ideas about significance of Deutsche Bank + Tilney Group Ltd acquiring 4 million Jessops shares (almost 6% of voting rights) on April 12th?

A little research by me indicates Deutsche Bank (global investment bank) acquiring Tilney Group Limited (independent UK wealth manager) apparently makes it the second largest 'wealth management' market in Europe.

Modest share purchase in Jessops now done by me - gulp, I'm new to all this! To the experts on here, would you...?

Please can share aware people, here, impart ideas about significance of Deutsche Bank + Tilney Group Ltd acquiring yet more Jessops shares today (21 June) - almost 11% of voting rights?
  • Following the first post in March I went and bought £250 worth as a risky investment. Hopefully the restructuring and big institutions buying shares will lead to a good return.
