I think the above poster is referring to the rights to reject goods within 'reasonable time' for a refund... then agreeing after this the retailer should at the very least repair or replace

(OP) I bought a TV at Tesco the other day and their receipt specifically says after 28 days do not bring the item back to the store but call the manufacturer!!

A polite email stating the information from the MSE site, has meant the shop is to handle the exchange of the faulty fridge.
