Well in the next 2 months all my toiletries will have been distributed so wont be a problem with expiry dates/use by dates. All items are for charity, family, friends and the school so I anticipate it will nearly all be gone shortly.
Just off to bag it all up - see you all in an hours time LOL

I am new to this tesco thing with vouchers and all and have managed to aquire some £2.50 off a £10.00 spend beauty and toiletry and £1.00 off £4 toiletries and £1.00 off £4.00 healthcare. I am really confused, can someone simplify how i best utilise them and how they add up???
Thanks in advance

Basically the idea is to buy HandB on bogof which reduces your spend to half, but enables coupon use to get you your goods for free.
With your basic amount of coupons you are limited to what you can spend.
As its your first spend, I suggest you buy HandB goods to the value of only £10 before bogof........ie 4 Elvive shampoos at £ £11.92....theres a glitch on this that will take an extra 50p off each bogof, bringing off £7.96.....leaving you £3.96 to pay
Because you paid £11.92 before bogof, the till will accept 1 of your £2.50 off £10 and 2 of the £1 off £4 spend......giving you £4.50 off your £3.96 spend
So even with this basic spend, prooviding the SA accepts your coupons, and youve spent an extra couple of pounds to cover the fact you are gaining money, you leave with free Elvivve and being paid to take them away.
When you get confidence, through more experience, you can use more of the same or other coupons.
At the moment there are enough HandB coupons out, to give you over £40 off a £12 spend.
This is a basic example , but if you spend over 8p more(on HandB) you could actually use another £1 coupon.....as you've then spent £12(3 x £4)
Not all HandB products will accept both HandB and toiletry coupons.....Elvive will...........and not all transactions are as easy as this.
Healthcare products work in the same way, at the moment it is possible to spend £8 on Healthcare and hand in £8 worth of healthcare coupons......you really need to wait until you have more healthcare coupons before attempting these.
All examples are dependant on finding an SA who readily accepts coupons.Couponing....."every little hurts"

. What we do is scan it and see if it comes off. If the till won't accept it then there's nothing we can do as they've stopped us putting coupons in as non scanned.
In my store, most of the assistants I work with are mums etc and only working there because they have to so they use coupons as much as you all do. Especially popular last week was the clothing ones helped by the fact we got an extra £5 staff one in with our payslip!
I am only trying to help you (and me) get the most from your coupons so please don't see me as an enemy, we need to stick together:grouphug:
MANY THANKS BIGMAMA for your contribution to this thread, its good to have someone on the inside to help out with many of our coupon queries and also I have to say why shouldnt the staff benefit as much as ourselves after all many of them are moneysavers too............I for one value your posts.0 -

Thanks for that helpful post, I'm going to pop in tomorrow and wanted to have another go at a H&B freebie after my error last time.
Ok I've got;
£1.25 off £5 beauty spend x3
£1.25 off £5 toiletries spend x3
£2.50 off £10 beauty or toiletries spend x1 (SA took my other one, and didn't scan it!)
£2 off £8 spend beauty or toiletries x2
50 extra points on £2 spend beauty or toiletries x2
plus couple of the plax and colgate ones
Am I right in thinking that if I make sure I buy stuff that comes under both beauty and toiletries ie shampoo or bubble bath, and I spend £10 before bogof, I can use 1 of each voucher (or both of the extra points ones), leaving me £2 in credit?
Or is there a better way to use them?
Many thanks for all your immense knowledge, and I'm hoping that in a few months I can show off even half the size of that haul!!0 -

I pointed out that they are valid on ANY beauty/toiletry product but the SA said they changed their policy AFTER the vouchers were printed! Why still leave them all over the store then?
Would that mean that you can only use the clothing voucher if you buy the top the woman is wearing in the picture?!
Dont know whether you remember this problem above......but i offered to help via PM, got the details and phoned the store.....Ive blanked out the names so the store cant identify itself.......this was my PM to tinkerbe11
Hi...just spoken to *****, then the duty manager, then finally put through to Services manager ******.......explained everything to her, finally got her to say she understood what i meant......
She was concerned that no one attempted to scan the coupons...as(as she said) as long as they scan, we will accept them(was tempted to say ...how many but didnt)....It was not store or CS policy to do this, but (she said) could be down to inexperienced staff, not realising that they should scan them first........(couldnt argue as didnt know circumstances)
She was so concerned she said, that if you were to go back in to CS,(mention speaking to *****on Saturday) with your receipts(i said this had happenned 3 times in last 10 days)....she would reimburse you..........
She said she would instruct staff to scan coupons before rejecting them..........
Depending how the staff react to her words.....we could have created an easy target here.....
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
One of the main reasons for taking this further was to find out whose policy this was...it appears that it was down to the SA in this case.
It would be interesting to see if this happened again in this store(which i wont name.................yet)Couponing....."every little hurts"

Many thanks for all your immense knowledge, and I'm hoping that in a few months I can show off even half the size of that haul!!
If you buy stuff that comes under both(as you say) you can use as many vouchers(£1.25 of both) providing you use them one each per £5...so if for instance you spent £16 before bogof, the till will accept
1 x£2.50 off £10
2x £2 off £8......as you're spending £16
3x £1.25 toiletry..as you're spending £15
3x £1.25 beauty..as you're spending £15
so on your £8 after bogof spend you can use £14 worth of coupons.....providing of course you buy other stuff to absorb the extra, and the SA accepts all your coupons......
and up to 8points coupons.....
Plax is not on bogof at the moment...but the colgate 40p works on any toothpastes....some of which are on bogof, and are classed as "both"
and the 40p coupons can be used with those above....so givng you more free money
Page 1 Post1 of this thread shows which items are "both"Couponing....."every little hurts"
