  • Hiya Joe13 - what I did was create my own thread on the swaps section, detailing what I had and what I wanted. Then people contacted me, and when I had time I went through other people's swaps.

(oops which reminds me Leadhead I promise faithfully to PM you tomorrow night when OH is not nagging about using the PC all the time !)

Does anyone know how to combine the H&B vouchers with the £25 off a phone deal?
I have So beautiful coupons, red/white H&B vouchers and £2 off £8 vouchers. Do I just need to spend £25 on toiletries before BOGOFS and coupons to qualify for the £25 spend to get £25 off a phone? Or do I need to pay £25 after discounts to get the phone?
I fancy treating myself to a new phone.;)

It depends on the TandC's of the phone deal.

If the "deal" allows you to buy HandB, then the total should be taken before bogof.

We had a few of these when RandRing, and the "deal" was done by a prompt from the till to the operator, "has the customer spent £25" .....now regardless of the coupons and bogofs, the answer should be "yes"...............however if it didnt work, you could always calmly get out of the deal, by querying it with the SA and saying you dont wish to follow it through if the £25 isnt deducted.........or walk to CS and claim a DtD, of £50 for your £25 discount not coming off.........if it were refused, you are then in your rights to ask to return your full shop for a full refund(providing there are no perishables included).....might be better not to do this in your local(for obvious reasons).

Actually thats a bit wrong....more often than not, the till didnt propmt the SA..........thats how we got so many free phones.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

I have looked at paid to shop but find it a very slow process to look individually at each and every persons swaps. Am I doing something wrong - Is there a quicker way?

No, you are doing it correctly, you've got to put a few hours into these things to get the maximum out of it..............................unfortunately.

  • Of course the quickest way to swap vouchers is just to send them to me LOL. I find the PTS site excellent and have made some excellent swaps as well as gaining some new tesco voucher addict friends.

I agree. I just click on the latest updated swap threads on PTS and speed read through them. Most people list their available swaps in sections of Tesco, Boots, etc. so I just scan what sections I'm interested in. It does take some effort, but so does reading through pages of swap posts on here?

I agree with Welshy, PTS is a very friendly site and people there are always very willing to answer any queries.

I love MSE for bargain spotting and ebay chat but PTS rules on the Tesco points collecting.
  • Hi, can someone tell me please - on reduced price H&B items does the till count the real price or the reduced one as your total spend for couponing?

Say I buy something for £3 instead of the usual price £6 will the scanners say I spent £6?

    Thanks muchly
  • Also - is the 40p colgate still scanning with any toothpaste?

And if you prepare a list of what youve got, and/or what you would like, you just need to paste the same text ineach PM.

Although I dont have any problems with PTS, (where i have done some nice swaps and talked to some interesting people), I find it a little too condescending for me, I prefer the MSE "thanks button" to the special posts created to thank people, who then "thank them back" on PTS.........although their policy on PM's (which I believe is...."Dont Post to say you've PMed someone") is better than MSE's....

But............Each to his own, as a legendary RandRer(and still learning couponer) once(or maybe more) quoted.
