Hi, newbie here who occasionally uses discount coupons in Asda but I haven't been near a Tesco for years :)

I have read the first page and it seems unbelieveable that you can use so many coupons in one go and get such a massive discount off items or even get them for free at Tesco!

I signed up to something off Pigsback to do with Tesco and they sent me a pack of blue clothing vouchers worth £26, could anyone give me an idea what I can do with them? :o

    (thankyou in advance)

Also i print internet coupons such as those from https://www.couponnet.com ,

Are Tesco's ok about accepting internet coupons? I only ask because, a few months ago, I remember trying to print one off from the Internet, for whatever reason it wouldn't let me, so the company sent me an Internet coupon through the post. I remember when I tried to use it the SA called the supervisor over and they had quite a discussion about whether they could accept it or not as it was an Internet coupon. It was just the fact that I convinced them that I had actually received it through the post that swayed it and they let me use it. Obviously, now I am older & wiser, and thanks to this fabulous thread, I would try to use them when using 'my boys' rather than the more experienced day-times SAs.

    Kind regards

Kaja86 - This was in my local so let me know how you go on if you try it there.

I don't know about tescos in general, but there is only 1 sales assistant that doesn't accept them in my tesco, my fave SA took 5 in 1 transaction, i guess it depends on SA.

In some i believe they say you should have bought the item, or at least a similar one.

In my local they accept anything with a barcode!

my tescos wont take ANY printed coupons whether you buy the item or not as they are convinced they are 'photocopies'. they are very good with other types of coupons but never the printed ones.

    Hi there -

Think I recognize your name from the Boots thread ;) . The blue clothing vouchers are much sought after and can be bought on eBay if you don't get them through the post. If you combine them with other Tesco clothing vouchers, with different barcodes, from say the Quit Kit or the Get Active Pack or the yellow clothing coupons currently in some stores, you can get massive savings on your clothing purchase.

I find the best way to get max savings (and sometimes even FREE clothes, depending on finding a scan-happy SA) is to buy £35 mens/womens clothing and £25 kids. Calculate carefully allowing for any reductions, otherwise your total might not be enough to make the coupons scan. £35 and £25 makes £60 total and allows you to use ALL your blue ones (the mens £6 scans without buying mens clothing btw), use 2 £6 yellow, 2 £6 Active, 2 £6 Quit, making for FREE clothes and another £12 off your other shopping, providing you can find all these coupons :D .

The Quit Kits and Get Active packs can be found at the CS desk in an A5 envelope. Or swap coupons on Paidtoshop. Don't forget schoolwear/swimwear/footwear/sunglasses all counts as clothing. And handbags too!

HTH & Let us know how you get on ;) .

as a tesco sa i simply scan any coupons given to me i never check what they are for as a general rule all non tesco coupons will go through regardless of wether uv purchased them or not if tesco dont stock that item the till will sometimes refuse it(does that make sense)points coupons will usually only go through if product/amount spent is correct.can't comment on those printed off internet as never had one given to me & until recently didn't know they existed but shall print some off this weekend & try at my local store.voucher combing can be great(especially at end when i hand my 10% off staff card over) at xmas got over £200 shopping for £40!!!

My PC crashed yesterday which meant that (1) I had to guess that my pub meal mystery shop brief was the same as the last time [luckily it was] and (2) I became very tetchy because I was getting withdrawal symptoms from being on here LOL. It appears to be working OK now for the moment - Leadhead perhaps we have the same internet provider.

Anyway today decided to pop out and get some diesel as I am working overtime tomorrow 6am until lunch-time (will be shattered but money will be great to fund the build).

I did 2 toiletry shops and each time bought a pack of tesco yoghurts 69p and using the toiletry vouchers, quit vouchers and a 50p wholefood and 50p ski voucher. I did have 10 newspaper vouchers in my bag but thought I would save them for the next big food shops and also the supervisor was walking by and I didn't want her calling for assistance then him refusing my other vouchers.

Anyway, I got some nice things and although I didn't use as many vouchers as I could have I found it to be a comfortable/acceptable amount to hand over.

    Welshy x
;) I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL ;)

Thanks leadhead! And there was me thinking you really were mentioned!

These CA you use use time and again, do they not ever get a rollicking from their supervisors for taking all your coupons? If I ever get a good one, remember them and go back, they scrupulously check each coupon and knock some back!

I think ive been mentioned, along with a few other imfamous ex serial RandRers in "dispatches"...never did get round to paying my £10 to the DPA, to actually find out what they had on me, in this identity and previous ones.

Its a well worth £10 spent, costs them possibly thousands to gather all the info they have on you, if youve upset them enough.

I dont think anyone who accepts coupons will get a rollicking.

I think the fault lies with the people who know the correct policy, but dont pass it on to the people who really need to know it.

If it is passed on, and then ignored, then unfortunately that person needs(sadly) a rollicking.

I had 2 regulars refuse me this week, because they had been instructed against coupon abuse.

I now know not to go to those people again, thy've served me well, while they "wern't informed" of the policy.

Just got to find out if theyve told the part time students.

Its only a flash in the pan i hope......it'll possibly be back to normal soon

In the summer of last year, lots of us were getting free PSP's PS2's XBoxes, Nintendos, and high value phones(2 at a time) for MONTHS...... wouldnt you think after the first couple of days they would have fixed the problem, we were going from store to store picking up one each per store, all mispriced , so all RandRable.....amazing....
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
