they have some other vitamins on bogof (vegetarian ones and pomegranite ones) if you are wanting something bogof - otherwise its easier just to go down the 'spend the full £8 on whatever you need' route as it will be free/next to nothing after vouchers anyway :T

  • What about if theres a Q.. dont u feel that people are watching u ?

Indeedy they do .......... but am I bothered nah ;) I have had people behind me take their shopping off the belt and move to another till because the SA is scanning my vouchers, people have complained loudly or said something like, typical I chose someone who is going to take ages with their shopping. People have complained when I have requested points for my recycling boxes too. But the other day for once, something lovely happened at the checkout I met a fellow Mse'r so I didn't have to worry about my voucher pile as she knows me from on here so I guess it was expected that I would be awhile !

Being a mystery shopping too, has given me the confidence and assertiveness at times when shopping. At the end of the day I am the one laughing all the way to the bank ! and saving a fortune !

42?? Dont u feel the pressure?? Was there a Q behind u (not the one from James bond) I always feel a little concerned that the person behind me thinks im a bit of a !!!!!!

Im better if the person behind me is still putting things on the belt and not watching me! Anyone any tips??

Usually the people behind me seem amazed and slightly jealous.

I dont think ive seen anyone angry over the time taken to scan my coupons, but it certainly wouldnt bother me in the slightest anyway.

The other day i took the last three coupons out of an SA's hand...I saw the supervisor heading my way....luckily i did...he was just shutting the till drawer when she arrived...nothing to do with my transaction......but it could have been disastrous if she'd arrived before he'd hidden them.

Friday i was behind a guy(he looked like a tramp.....sorry mate) he handed over coupons i'd never seen before, knocked £4 off his £8 bill......he looked at me and smirked as if to say "clever eh".........the guy on the till was a bit of a moaner(but i'd used him before) and he growled at the coupons and threw them in the till..........I said to him...."If youre unhappy with him, through his coupons....youre going to hate me"..........the woman in the queue laughed when i said that....I got my £42 worth for 54pence......the woman behind me stood widemouthed like a gold fish, in amazement......the SA picked them up and threw them in the till.

Went back later and used same SA again.

I think the problem with a lot of coupon users is...........you feel guilty, as though you are doing something illegal, and therefore think everyone is watching you...(mind i feel this way when i'm searching for coupons).....but never feel this at the till........its far quicker getting served behind someone that has 30 articles and 20 coupons, rather than a family with a trolly full.

I still get "butterfly's in the stomach" before hand, and sometimes when i know i should be in Tescos, but arent.

I think i'll have to stop asking all these youngsters "what time do they finish" and "what hours do they work".

Oh yes.....forgot about this........Now gone HI Tech...carry a dictaphone inthe car....so when i come out of the shop its ....eg London Friday 3pm Gary, small, glasses blonde hair, works fri, sat sunday 10-4pm accepts anything...

Never let me down yet......bloke in next car gave me a funny look today though through it.

Had 4 excellent shops yesterday. Just checked receipts and in April, have saved $274 in April (pound sign not working) by using these vouchers. thanks to everyone for their help as only started about 2 months ago. just checked cupboards & have: 42 shower gels, 27 toothpastes, 12 tooth brushes, 12 bubble bath, 14 body wash, 12 deods, 21 hand washes, 18 shampoo, 14 conditioner, 7 baby shampoo/conditioner & 5 hair spray. Also loads hair creams, gels etc. 2 shelves jammed packed with stuff & probably enought to last for years. This does not include the full cupboard of plasters, medicines, tablets, etc & the money off my shopping & all the points.
Again thanks everyone, but what a relief not to have to go to Tescos to spend them as they are all gone now.!

I had a brilliant shop yesterday :D i did three transactions ( i couldnt see my usual lad and so panicked a bit, but my best mate was with me and said " ive found another scanner!! woohoo!" We went to a young girl who happily scanned ALL vouchers no questions asked :D i did 2 toiletry shops and 2 health shops plus my usual shopping... total £100 i paid £8 :D:o
then i waited for my dad who has to take my nan to asda :( but i went round again and did another toiletry shop and another health shop as well as some luxeries that i wouldnt buy usually ie chocolate, ice cream :o that bill came to £49 i paid 60p :) My lad had come back on to work so i used him :D i dont feel bad cos im saving money that i use on bills.
edited to say with all the points coupons ive had in the post this week, i racked up £16 in points yesterday too :) thats £75 on my card now! :j

  • Well done MM and did i rotfl Leadhead at the thought of some guy wondering what you were doing i too at times have had people like goldfish when i ve managed to get the bill down really low its quite funny.Ive developed tunnel vision when handing over vouchers!!And i didnt realise that i too have been using the method of waiting for the customer in front to leave before putting my things on the belt.
  • well where do I start, I have gone through all the emotions, upset, tears, anger and no it's not because I have just run out of vouchers.

    Right, here goes:

DS had swimming lessons so I decided to pop in my local Tescos try to avoid it but I was in a rush. I had split my shopping into 3 lots, using only the tesco specific vouchers. Lady on the till is pleasant and friendly and was just about to scan my vouchers when my old "friend" shouts across only accept vouchers for things she has bought - which was in reality all of them, anyway, SA would only accept my points vouchers, h&b and cat food (fine) and a £2.50 SB voucher. That was OK I didn't argue. I was abit miffed at the supervisor though as since I complained about her in the summer 2006 she is horrible whenever she can be,

Off I truddle to CS to pick up some photos, she comes up, hands over a white slip and my vouchers I had just used and mutters to CS lady this is what she has handed over today. Then realising I was stood there she would not make eye contact.

As I stood waiting for my photos, I thought right just walk away, then I thought no not this time, (she has previously followed me around the store), so shaking and visibly upset I asked to see the Manager who arrived.

I asked if we could go somewhere private and we ended up in the cafe - I explained the situation and burst into tears whilst shaking like a leaf. He said he could not understand why my vouchers were at CS and I asked was I being monitored at this store and that this could potentially interfere with a job that I have. He appeared to have no prior knowledge but said he would look into it. I gave him my name and phone no.

When I got home I printed off my complaint letters from June and July last year and Tesco HO replies and gave them to him for this info. He has promised to look into this.

On a £18 shop I used a 1 x £2.50 sb and some pointers that was it ! no manufacure vouchers or internet vouchers purely tesco vouchers.

I have gone past upset now feel angry and have felt paranoid about shopping in that store since the summer of last year but today it all came to a head. I may speak to Tesco HO too depending on the Manager's response.

In the past 8 months I doubt if I have been there more than 6 times apart from when I am on a mystery visit.

Anyway, I am hoping leadhead will give me some advice he is usually spot on

    cheers Welshy x
