  • Thats what pets are for :p or used to be

If there was rats, its a council issue possibly. Not sure but its possible they'd help with poison , etc

Its normal for a house to have various vents or holes in brickwork leading to under floorboards, helps stop damp rot I think

They say you are never more than 10 yds from a rat, so it's pretty much inevitable they will take advantage of any access point.

Yes, you have to have ventilation through wall into the underfloor void to prevent dry rot and wet rot, but they have to be vermin proof and they have to carry through the cavity, nothing mice like better than to over winter in the nice warm cavity insulation.
My old mum had them, they even picked the vent that fed into the kitchen pantry so they could pop in for the odd snack:eek:

Council will charge for dealing with the issue, and you still have to carry out the prevention measures
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
