What will go up in price, what to stockpile

I am trying to stop doing the whole stockpiling of goods and am trying to get my freezer/cupboards down to the stage where I know what is in there. It is amazing when you do go through your freezer to see what is in there.I have found loads of fish fingers and slices of bacon I didn't know I had. :shocked:0

Stock up on the things you like with a long exp date, ie Co-op microwavable rice is 54p on special offer at the moment BBE June 2013. Lots of items I have in the cupboard are BBE Aug 2014 including jars of bolognaise, curry, s/sour sauces for example. :beer:0

Meat if you have the freezer space for it. Am seriously considering buying a small chest freezer and fitting it in somewhere; even if that 'somewhere' is the lounge! We don't eat much meat but even so I have noticed meat prices double in some cases, quadruple in others in the past 10 years; and most of the increase has been over the past 2-3 years xx0

A word of warning about poaching.. mostly those pheasants have been reared for shooting or food and if you poach and get caught that's theft.
Rabbits however, as long as you have the farmer's permission, shotgun and licence then fair do's.. whole rabbit is £12 in my local butchers  Squirrels you need a licence for but one of my friends spotted them in Budgens in North Finchley :rotfl:
Sainsbury's So organic mayonnaise - earlier this month 1.15 today 1.450 -
Has in Sainsbobs. The nice thick cut that was £2.89 or 3 for £6 has just gone up to £2.99 and no offer.:eek::eek: Have been so used to buying it on offer over the last 6 months that I didn't notice till I checked the receipt when I got home.JustLikeThat wrote: »If pigs could fly, bacon would go up...0 -

I am in the same situation as you! I have hundreds of tins, jars and packets stashed away (offers/bargains I couldn't refuse!) and two freezers crammed full of stuff with yellow stickers - an upright with 5 drawers and a smallish chest freezer. Every week I go shopping with only fruit, veg and dairy on my list and I am determined not to buy anything else, but I always see some bargain to tempt me - OH thinks I need therapy for obsessive stockpiling!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
