DG, many congratulations to your ds and his gf .
EG, hope you begin to feel better soon.
BB, i hope the car doesn't cost too much either. We will never get the girls bedroom done at this rate.
MG, congratulations to your DGD. She has worked so hard :T.
Just got back in time from the allotment before the rain started. It is throwing it down here now. Very muggy though.
I hope everyone has a good rest of the day and hugs to those who need them.

OMG my mother always used to buy that horrible scratch-your-a$$-raw loo paper._pale_
And mine - but then we have discussed our respective mothers before and it really should not come as any surprise:eek::eek::eek:
One of those days - plodding on. Im a bit confused about what is considered OS these days as I have been reading the "What has happened to OS these days" thread? Im told OS is not about putting the DW on or doing the washing? Actually the whole thread has really upset me.
So nothing for me to post today:(I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

My Dad used that loo paper but it was in a flat packet, he had a ceramic holder on the wall and I warned the kids when they used to go visiting never to use it, it certainly scarred me for life - in more ways than one!!
MG - Congrats to your DGD, hard work has paid off for her.
Well, I was just about to put the last of the washing out and the heavens opened. At least the bedding and towels were dry. The bedding is back on the beds un-ironed.
Take care. XX0 -
Molly, I can understand why you feel like that but please continue to post as you always have. I had a quick look at that thread and it's the same thing that gets resurrected every now and then.x0

Afternoon all,
Congratulations to you all DG.
Bit of a row going on here at present.....DD3 sent a squeaky pig home to Mossy ( she is his mammy ) and Bran has taken a huge liking to it....Mossy is like me....hates confrontation and is not really fighting his corner, just grabs the thing when Bran leaves it for a minute, then walks away when Bran comes back, he is such a wuss!
Rain and more rain here, will be able to sell what OH cuts off lawn for hay whenever it is dry enough to cut!
We had lunch out, small hotel in town which does 'homecooked' food, OH really likes to eat there....will keep the lovely fresh tuna DB gave me for to-morrow.
Nothing exciting planned, going to visit a friend for a cuppa soon, then knitting for the evening, if I can find the matching wool for the blanket I am doing, finished a ball last night.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend all

Had a wonderful time swimming with my son. He is so relaxed now. Back home now and about to tackle the ironing. Tea will be HM sheperd's pie......cooked a big batch of mince with vegs yesterday, mashed LOADS of potatoes and have taken a pyrex Shepherds Pie up for my son and his carers, I had a big plateful last night and will have another tonight. To fill the oven up whilst reheating it I am going to make some peanuit butter biscuits. At least that's the intention............
Well done on exam results and congratulations to newly engaged couple!'Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.' T S Eliot0 -

Its upset a few people I think. There really is no need for any of it.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Don't know if any of you have seen this offer on the Freebie board for Blockbuster. If you aren't already a member and join, you get 15 days free membership (1 DVD per day) and free big tub of Haagen Daz ice cream. Just been and it took me less than 2 mins to join. I rented Man on A Ledge to watch tonight. May be good for the end of school hols or wet bank holiday!
Just going to put my HM curry in microwave and watch film tonight
