Dog carrying kitten around in his mouth!

:eek: I've seen him do it twice now, my springer spaniel carrying my 16 week old kitten in his mouth, he does it really gently just how a cat would and my kitten isn't hurt but oh my word it scares me!
They play together a lot and love each other to bits, why is he doing this? Does he think he's her mum now? :rotfl:

Not sure about kittens but my 4 year old male staffie thinks he is mum to a 9 week old puppy and he manages to get her up onto the bed so that he can either play with her or cuddle her, which is great but she can't get down so has pee'd on the bed a couple of times now as a result.
I wish he would leave her be to be honest as he makes my life harder with all the washing but I got to admit it aint half cuteThere is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

How small is your kitten? Mine's about that age and I don't think she'd fit in a small dog's mouth without trailing on the floor. Then again I think with mine it'd be the other way around, and god help the dog if he refused! Haha.0

Is he an entire male or a neutered male dog? He is a pack animal, I wonder if it's normal in wild dogs for the b1tch to do all the puppycare or for other dogs to help?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

They all help. Usually the mother stays with the pups until they are weaned but then after that the pups are guarded/babysat by any member of the pack while the rest hunt.0 -

Thanks everyone, so I shouldn't be worried then? He is neutered and she is quite little, although he has to hold his head up so she doesn't drag along the floor lol.
They do love each other and are constantly playing, I just wasn't expecting to see him carrying her around!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
i'm sure if your kitten didn't like it, she's let him know with a few swipes of her claws!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!
