My final words to you, as someone with experience:
Leave them to do their jobs and let them contact you. Do not e-mail. Do not phone.
If you get called for interview, stick to the stuff they are actually asking for - do not lecture them about your interests.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

.
You originally suggested that the pre-interview interview was to review things related to your disability. Why were you not leaving the subject of your disability and performance in the job to the pre-interview interview rather than apparently trying to get a pre-pre-interview?
(Please don't answer the question - its rhetorical.)0 -

And this admin assistant/clerk could be one of your future work colleagues - treat these people with respect, even if you think they may not be treating you the same way (you could just be wrong!)
He is clearly not fully briefed on the application progress, I got it wrong too, therefore, it is nothing more than oversight on both parts.
I think I should not blowing this in a big issue.:beer:0 -
Phil.
Listen very carefully, I will say this only once.- Apply for job
- Wait for letter inviting you to interview
- Letter will ask you to phone them if you have any special needs for the interview
- If it does not, phone them anyway and say you need to be interviewed in an accessible room
- Go to interview and answer the questions
- If they haven't asked you during the interview, tell them at the end what you will need in the job, eg a special chair or whatever
That's it, in a nutshell. No bombarding of the employer with calls and emails. No having to arrange pre interviews or any such nonsense to explain your disability and "not waste their time". So, please, just do us all a favour and get on with it.
I'll join the rest of you in a stiff drink now!0 -
Sorry Phil, i dont think you will get this job. Use this as a learning experience and never, ever, ever do anything similar again."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." Though it would be illegal for them not to give me the job on the grounds I have had disability concerns as that would be discrimination-- so I might still have a chance.:beer:0

Therefore, I would never do well at that job as I could never be objective enough.
Well first thing to say - You've made a !!!! up good and proper here! I wouldn't employ someone who badmouths my procedures and staff even before they set foot in the door.
BUT
More importantly, you say that you would get too upset and annoyed at the injustices,
From my browsing of this site you seem passionate about equality and disabled persons rights etc and often rant and rave at people on here.
Instead of just sitting on your bum moaning, wouldnt it be rewarding to be a positive force in reaching justice for disabled people - it wouldn't be all doom and gloom! But you won't listen, you'll just plod along......
There's do'ers - many people on here
There's Moaners - people who make no real positive contribution but are the first to moan about any 'injustice'
