Can any one recommend a way or product(s) to remedy this please ?
Check and clean the filter on your washing machine and dishwasher.
Fill every drawer on your washing machine and dishwasher with VINEGAR and run the machines on the hottest longest washes.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -

oh dear oh dear why is my life surrounded by idiots
most peoples waste pipes are solvent weld fittings apart from the trap so mr know it all or should i say mr know nothing how are they suppost to disconnect all the elbows etc etc to clean them out, you would end up replacing all the pipes & fittings, unless of course & i am only guessing that they are push fit fittings which are completely DIY like yours by any chance ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

If it's the washing machine:
Clean filter
Put half a packet of soda crystals in the drum
Wash on 90 or hottest cycle
This worked for me.
I would liberally soda crystal the sink too and rinse through with hot water0 -
Bosch washing machines, including mine, seem to have a particular problem with this. There is a drain pipe at the front which needs regular cleaning, but also, this can occur on any machine by the use of a lot of modern detergents, used at low temp., and which do not contain bleaching agents. Hence the bacteria are not being neutralised. Have a look at ukwhitegoods.co.uk for more detailed help.0

Two liters of bleach down the sink plug hole followed by a bag of soda crystals a few hours later has cured the problem. Thanks for everyone's input.1

It would because it was the waste pipework as originally mentioned and never was the washing machine itself. Sorry not to rely to your question about product. Not been on here since before you asked it.

The op needs to check that the washer actually is installed into a trapped drain.
There needs to be an air lock, or more correctly a water trap.
If the "u bend" gets restricted it is very easy for this to lead to the stench you are experiencing.
Got another fan I see Keith?,:D thought it was only me that attracted them:o:o:o:o:o;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Hi
I have just posted this on a thread about a blocked sink but I thought it may be useful on here too.
My kitchen sink kept taking ages to drain and I thought that there was a blockage (sometimes the smell was horrendous too). I bought loads of different produces and cleaned all of the pipe beneath the sink. In the end I noticed that when the washing machine was on the water was rising in the drain outside. I got an old pasta strainer (I know i am so technical!!) and put it down the drain outside to see what i could scoop out. Anyway, the smell was terrible and i managed to scoop out half a carrier bag of black, smelly sludge. It was disgusting but the sink has been draining properly since and no smell. It might not be that but it is worth a try.0
