360 Bargains?

HI All,
well with the demise of the XBOX-oriented games industry and it's turning to the darkside and only producing for the 360, I guess I will have to do the same. So I tohught I'd ask if anyone has seen any offers/deals.. well bargains on the XBOX360?
I remember 2 years ago WHSmith was selling XBOXs at £50 for one day only... and guess what... I went to the town where they denied it, but know of plenty of people who managed to get the bargain. I then got to a town offering the bargain, but the guy in front of me got the last one.... just my luck...

Need to have a look on Amazon.de.

Selling Xbox 360 core packs for 199 Euros - around £140. Although out of stock at the moment, it's a bargain!

It might be worth waiting a few months if planning to get an xbox 360 because the xbox 360 elite is coming which will probably mean price drops for the other versions.

Yesterday I purchased the premium pack from amazon.de and it worked out at £233 inc. postage which seems pretty good to me.

My only concern, that has only just occured to me, is whether i will be charged VAT by customs? If I do its not much of a bargain! Does anyone know if i will or not?

(If i do can i send it back and therefore not have to pay it?)

You won't be charged VAT or any other taxes within the EU.

Seems daft then that it can be so much cheaper from Germany - nearly £40. Anyone know why it is so?

I had a look at the Play.com offer... it says there's no hard drive... I guess this means you can't save games then....?

You need to get a memory card for that, without a harddrive you can't download game demos / music videos etc
