Vandals damaged my locks!

I am selling a car I have on auto trader but as it has no tax or MOT it wont sell - even for £200 as it is now.

Since it has been on sale in April (and is parked on my dads drive) it has slowly been vandalised bit, by bit.

Now the latest attack is on the door locks - i cant actually unlock the car to get in!

Problem here being that if someone does actually come to buy the car I wouldn't be able to open the doors so they can get in, start the engine etc.

The boot lock does open but the car is parked so closed to a wall that you cant open the boot fully enough to climb in and open the car from the inside.

Any ideas? I am probably giving the car to the scrap yard on Saturday but I need to remove some parts (to sell on) so that I can recover my losses from the car (e.g. battery, wheel trims, parcel shelf, CD player).

Also, if anyone knows a scrap yard that will give me a good price for my car in Middlesbrough it would be most appreciated.

If you are going to scrap it, smash a window to get in.

    1. Smash a window.

    2. Jack up the rear wheels and roll it forward so you can access the boot.

    3. Get a group of strong lads and bounce it forwards so you can access the boot.

    4. Attach it to another car with a tow rope and drag it forward a couple of feet so you can access the boot.

? How do you get to the h/b?
If you are using a t/j to lift the rear of the car why would you need to to do anything with the h/b?
The back of the car is tight to a wall = no room for a t/j.

I thought about breaking a window, but wouldn't the scrap man give me less for it (they use any excuse to knock the price down).

No less than if you take out the battery, parcel shelf, wheel trims, etc, etc, that you mentioned above.

Its a Corsa! Pull it out of its bay yourself, it, even with the handbrake on, will take 30 seconds of effort.

Well the scrappy can collect it on Saturday, I just need to call them in the morning. When they come I'll tell them that I need to remove the battery and other bits, etc.

I am going to wait and see if anyone calls from the Auto Trader advert (i.e. leave it till the last minute) and if nothing by Saturday morning the scrappy can have it.

Its at £160, I cant believe no one is interested.
