don't know best combination as don't have any coupons yet but am hoping to get some soon. A Till spit is great it is when you have given your CC to SA and when your receipt comes out after paying, another (sort of receipt) comes out with bonus points on when you buy another item. Eg: I got one at Xmas as I bought a few DVD's and got a till spit for 100 points when I bought another one.
  • Till spit whats one of them!!! lol

Aaaah yes, till-spits, I remember them, sob..... It seems a long time ago that I started the till-spit thread, trying to work out if the pattern for them was once a fortnight, how much you had to spend to generate one, etc.

I used to get those before I lost OH's card and had to open a new one in Feb. Around that time I also started a cc for me (had always used the one between us till then) and not a till-spit has been generated since!

I have phoned Dundee and I have checked on the website that no 'contact preferences' boxes are ticked....still no joy. I shall be phoning again soon, but in the meantime if you have any unwanted tillspits think of me and my H&B money-off swaps*......;)

    * Oh yeah, this is the clothing vouchers thread, BACK ON TOPIC! I have some spare yellow ones too..

The best combination depends on what you are buying, but at the moment if you do a £25 before bogof shop, it is possible to use(without the till beeping) 2 x£2.50 SB, 2x£2.50New HB, 3 x£2 (old), 3x £2 (new), 6 x£1 New HB, 5 x£1.25 old quit beauty, 5 x £1.25 old quit toiletry, and 5 x new quit £1.25.......AND OTHERS...including 12x £50pointers.

As you can see, on a £12.50 after bogof spend, the till will allow(just using the coupons above) £47 worth of coupons.........(and more)

Obviously it isnt wise to use all of these, but some assistants keep asking for more coupons......I have had quite a few totals reduced from @£100 down to pennies.....but I never push this until the situation allows.

and Till Spits(not slits or splits or slitts or spills).....are pieces of paper Spatout by the tills after you do a shop and use your Club Card.

They either give you money off or extra points for buying certain items.

An example is 750 points if you buy £30 clothing........the 750 points being worth £30 in clubcard deals..............so effectively paying for the clothes(and even better if youve got coupons to pay for your clothes and use this till spit)

They seem to be a law unto themselves as no one seems to understand, how, what, when which, you are going to get(if any).

They are discussed on a seperate thread...here

    Couponing....."every little hurts"
