I met with a dragon on CS today when trying to return a reciept with *ahem* "a few" coupons on it. I now have a reciept with refund marked on it then scribbled out as she refused a refund and told me to take the clothes back to the store I bought them from. Didn't have time to argue.

Not a problem usually, expect I can't get there tonght and I'm off on my hols early tomorrow and so by the time I get back my clothing reciept will by past the 28 days.

If I return clothes with no receipt can I get the amount (£60) on a giftcard or exchange the clothes for £60 worth of groceries??

There really isn't anything in the clothing dept that I like (or that I haven't already got, lol!)

    What do people think?

H i there, excuse my ignorance but what are tesco clothes vouchers? You see, there is a new tesco opening up next month which is 5 minute walk from my house(cannot wait). So really what i need to get is a clubcard? I presume that is a loyalty card? Sorry to be such a dope but could anyone give me the lowdown on the clubcard and is it worth bothering with? Only ever shop at tesco once in a while so obviosly this is gonna change. Thanks.xxx

think its about time he also did vouchers for household stuff like washing powder etc to wash all these new clothes we'v got from him:D

Ive got the free washing powder :)

With the extra from the h&b shops I did ( when there were loads of vouchers you could combine ) i put a couple of boxes of washing powder / fabric softner in to soak up the excess :)

Must have 12+ boxes  Mind you i can use just over 1 box a week.

Unfortunately its usually a No,and another No...but depends on SA.

    What do people think?

Usually without a receipt, an exchange is the only option, however i have had both cash and giftcard refunds.......but only the odd one..

AS for exchanging for non clothing items, theres more chance of this, but again very rare, but you could ask............depends on CS.....

try taking them to a non clothing store(i do this often with a receipt for refund....usually single items)........they might do it, as theyre still keeping your money.

Thanks leadhead.....£36 off a £70 shop sounds good to me, but of course free sounds better!!! Am I better off waiting till something better comes along? Do these vouchers come along frequently? I have just joined the clothing club thingy which I guess is the blue vouchers so at least I will have a head start on the next offer.

Found the swaps board on PTS by the way!

Tesco havent let us down yet, but they may have cauht up with us, and may not be so generous inthe future, we dont know....Ive PMed you.

I'm really sorry to have to close this thread but we're having some issues with the boards at the moment and a lot of pressure is being put on the serves by the really really long threads :( So I'm locking this one and opening a new one that will point to this thread - If someone coudl do a "beginners guide" and PM it to me I will paste it in the top post for the new thread :)

    Thanks!
