Thank you, thank you, thank you all.
My brain is fogged with CFS/ME - but I have studied you experts over past few weeks. Enjoyed the humour and generocity
Had previously built up confidence with a couple of small shops.
Late on Sunday afternoon, after OH finished work, he took me to see Mr T, armed with vouchers (as active were expiring). SA was grumpy, as she had done lots of refunds,(older lady, very strict looking and the only one on the till )- I thought oh boy this uis not going to work, and did not have time to go to another store - when the SA said to me "I do hope you are spending money"! I smiled sweetly and said oh yes, as I piled on all the clothes - told her OH and I had lost a lot of weight (true), and that it was a joy to come and buy lots of new ones, and chatted quiet happily etc, and that I had been saving up coupons - anyway spent £93, actually paid £11. :j :j A young SA came along just as I was paying - the look on her face was priceless!
OH could not believe it, and to be honest, neither could I. Thanks all.:T
Just one question - childrens vouchers - can they be used for adults or am I better of swapping them?
Thanks all.:beer:0 -
lol i dont know why but it hadnt crossed my mind to do that! :rotfl:
and i thought you read my posts NEgirl.........lol
Theres many a time ive commented on you ladies saying "nothing in my size, nothing in stock".....IMHO, you should never let this put you off, never leave empty handed....you built up the nerve to go i and do it, bit of a downer to come out with nothing.
I go in, dont even look for stuff, buy 4 pairs of jeans, down to HandB, through the till, out....Take the jeans back when and where i find anything suitable..........no receipt, no questions.
Got to do this fairly quickly in case the price reduces........but then i would just exchange with a receipt,or even half a one, or a "washed" one......Couponing....."every little hurts"

Well done on your clothes shop above! The childrens coupons only work with childrens clothes, but there is nothing stopping you taking back the childrens clothes (with or without receipt) and exchanging them for mens/womens!
Good luck🥳🥳 SW -6st 3.5lbs 🥳🥳0 -
I'm new to this thread.... have been lurking for a few days trying to get the gist of things and am desperate to get in on the action, having kids that grow out of things almost every week!! I wouldn't mind treating myself to a new wardrobe too!!!
Went to my nearest extra shop last night and got a bundle of the new coupons (pink, green and blue) but it sounds like I need other coupons aswell to get the most out of it. What do I need to look out for? Are there likey to be any of the other coupons mentioned on here still in stores? I have had a look around the PTS site but cannot find the swap board.... any clues?
Thank you in advance0 -
But the coupon is equivalent to £6 ! She can't take £6 off you and not give you goods in return! I would have been furious! Had an argument the other day, returning clothes for an exchange (with receipt) - I paid a little extra, but they refused to give me a receipt - I pointed out that I had no proof that I had bought them, and that if they subsequently went down in price ( as Tesco is prone to doing) I would then not get the full amount if I returned them. In the end they just refunded the money and sold me the good s again, as I was insistent on having a receipt!
There seems no consistent policy (theres a surprise!) - sometimes they give a whole new receipt, sometimes it shows items exchanged, and the other day (different store to the above) CS said they would refund the items I was returning and sell me the new ones, as otherwise I would miss out on CCpoints! She was so helpful - so I said, hang on a minute then, i've got some vouchers in the car, and nipped out to get them, so getting another discount!
Totally agree with this, Ive insisted onthis before, but although i got it, it possibly heightened my profile with that set of staff, i had to avoid them for a while, so all in all wasnt worth it, but it was a point i wanted to prove.
A valid coupon becomes legal tender when accepted by the till/SA/SS till, and any refund should show the equivalent of the coupon being reimbursed.
Staff at T have no right, authority or real reason to slander, call or upset any person who uses coupons after they(T) have accepted them....its Tescos that are to blame, its their staff accepting them, its their managers that havent told their staff the correct procedure(if they have one).....no blame should be attatched or accepted by "us".............
The only consistent policy within Tescos, is to be inconsistent.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Unfortunately the new coupons you have and the £6 yellow runout at the weekend.
To make it a worthwhile shop(imho) you need 2 yellows, 3 blues and 2 reds.....unfortunately these are hard to gfind at the moment(Wales nd NI being the main/only source of the £2 red Quit)
The blues can be bought on ebay, and i could have sent you some Yellows, but the chance of you doing anything better than say £36 off £70 before the weekend is unlikely now.
£10 new 2x £7 new and 2 x£6 yellows off £70(to use 2x £7). wil give you £36 off £70.......but i wont pay that much...
With the £10 blue and 2 x£6 blues, and 2x £6 reds, you can do £70 off £70Couponing....."every little hurts"

Hi mamamoi - there is a whole swaps board, but you do need to be registered to see it. If you click on the menu page you should see it there.0

Thanks leadhead.....£36 off a £70 shop sounds good to me, but of course free sounds better!!! Am I better off waiting till something better comes along? Do these vouchers come along frequently? I have just joined the clothing club thingy which I guess is the blue vouchers so at least I will have a head start on the next offer.
Found the swaps board on PTS by the way!0
