My ebay freebie came today too. I ordered a bulk lot of various buttons. I remember my Nana had a big tin of buttons when I was a kid and I used to sit on the floor sorting them out. I loved it (bizarrely!). Me and my two girls just had fun doing the same with my new buttons, we made pictures out of them and I'll use them for crafting too :j

That brings back memories. My late MIL had a big tin of buttons and she and my DD used to spend hours making pictures out of them.

Hope your DD has had a great time BSue. it sounded great fun - especially for free!
We are going to Porthcawl in 2 weeks time to a caravan for 4 nights with a stop over both ways. We will get to see DHs brother while we are there and his sister on the way back so serves 2 purposes. It will be the first time we only have DD with us in the school hols so expect she will do a bit of moaning except when we are at shops.

She's had a great time Sheils, at the last count she had bought 30 nail polishes, there's no hope for her. They had one scary moment where they took a wrong turn and ended up in an area with lots of youths that stared at the car as it passed by, they managed to turn around and get out of there and when they arrived at the hotel they were warned not to turn left at the bridge because it was too dangerous to go there. It was where they had just been :eek:

good to see a few wins rolling in although some companies more on the ball than others
would love to go to america one day, my brothers gf comes from texas so think thats where they spending xmas this yr
i should feel wide awake had 3 hour doze this afternoon one minute i was watching the news next i was gone, but still think i,ll have early night
just went for a biccy and they not there hubby seems to get munchies and raids kitchen after i gone to bed

Glad your daughter has had a good time Sue, seems to have flown her trip!

Did I say my sis is off to Oz for 12 months in January so my mum will know how you will be feeling Sheils. She hated my sis being away travelling before so will be even worse now she knows it's for a full year (potentially longer!!)

I have finally done ome comps tonight. Not loads but up to 5th October for what i want to enter so happy with that.

DS2 is trying to get organised to go too Becks - will know if he is going soon. DS1 thinks Sydney is great but hasn't found a job yet although he is looking at flats.

Sis is heading to Melbourne as far as I know with her flatmate who she travelled with last time. I admire her courage to go off and do all that. She is a lot more confident than me I could never have done that at her age (or even now haha although will never get chance now)

Sue that must have been scary for your DD! :eek: there are certain parts around 15 mins drive from me which is like the slums! Infact....it was in the paper that there are house up for auction there this month one for £750 and the one next to it £1000 great for first time buyers but not great for bringing up a family there!

I gave Jasper a bath and he's not a happy dog now! he's totally ignoring me! :rotfl:
