Me too sheils, I did lose it at one the other evening. I had a PPI call at 9:45 and I was in the middle of watching New Tricks. I'm afraid that when he started by saying "My name is James" in a thick Indian accent I responded with "Your name is no more James than mine is". He ignored that and started on about how I had been mis-sold PPI in the past and I asked him how he could possibly know that. Still he ignored me and said that he could get the payments back for me. I'm not proud of it but in the end I told him to S*d off and leave me alone. I know they're doing a job, but what a ridiculous time to call.

Hah, we have a regular caller who sometimes says he's called Jeff and sometimes John. He's also indian and asking about PC virus protection. Last time he called I said we didn't have a computer and he hasn't called back :rotfl:

I haven't had one of these for a while, but I was forever getting the PC virus protection ones and the British Lifestyle Survey.

The calls stopping may be something to do with the fact that as soon as I realised who they were I kept telling them they were through to Surrey Police HQ and how could I direct their call?:rotfl:

    Glad its not just me!
This is the time of the year we get so called builders and gardeners wanting to trim bushes etc knocking at the door trying to con peeps.
There are a lot of old people in our area and I'm sure they are looking for them. They come round and want to protect our roofs with those dreadful colour sprays. One asked me why I didn't want a quote so I told him they look dreadful and he just looked at me with his mouth open. A load of old people have had it done as well.
I always say I haven't a compueter too Purple but it doesn't seem to work. One of the best was some-one calling about getting my bank charges back and she wasn't long in putting phone down when I said I worked for one

I like your police one SueM - must try that one!

Is it going dark early for anyone else? Feel quite miserable that the nights are drawing in so fast. No post and noWEMs again today

  • Ah, I feel much better after a well needed nap! DD1 managed some tomato soup and has a bit of colour back to her face, poor thing. Thanks for the well wishes x

I had another Twitter win, a Pyrex cook book. I always enjoy getting new cook books for recipe ideas, so that's nice. Also my win from Trendy Vend (FB) arrived today so now I've got a gold watch, Nikes and Dr Dre beats headphones to decide who to give to for Christmas :) Also a big box of complimentry gum (5 gum ran the comp) in a weird sour pear flavour

Hope everyone had a good day xx

May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx
