Had such a hectic weekend with my Dad's 80th birthday, and the run up to it last week that I haven't comped much at all!!! Even my LO was shattered this morning & didn't want to go to school bless, I have taken her & think she'll soon wake up properly when she's playing with her friends.

Soooo annoyed with DD's school! :mad:
Just had a call to say can I pick her up as she practically passed out and was dizzy, shaky and unresponsive. She had blood tests the other day and she's getting referred back to hospital to see if it's epilepsy again. I wrote in her planner to ask if she can be excused from PE and explained on her planner. The teacher just said 'hmph' and scribbled a signature then told DD to get changed for PE. By this time all the class were watching her getting changed and someone said 'errr' which made DD upset and self conscious. She then went dizzy, shaky, pale and when another teacher was talking to her she was inresponsive so they phoned me. DD is still shaking but falling asleep now. She has no recollection of how she felt. I am so angry that the teacher made her do PE even with a note! :mad: DD doesn't want to lose too much time off school herself but she knew how she would feel doing PE even though she likes sports normally.

Think I would be having a word with the head wingo, or head of year etc. Really hope she's ok, I once wrote in DD's planner to be excused from PE & teacher told her to do it she phoned me whilst in class put it on speaker & I told teacher that under no circumstances was she to do it. Only you as a parent know when it is ok for them to be excused, not a teacher who must see 100's of kids a day.

Wingo I would complain to the Head. I wrote a note once for DD not to do cross country as she had had a bad cold and the teacher was going to make her walk it instead but another teacher noticed how white she was and made her go back inside. Some teachers act like they are dictators. I hate the way some of them boss the kids about and are so nice to your face.

I've got a meeting with the school nurse this week so I will mention about it then. DD already struggles to with how others see her...this will have totally knocked her confidence.

That's dreadful wingo, there are some brilliant teachers out there but others are no more than bullies. A bit of power goes to their head.

Aw Wingobins, I feel for you! It's so upsetting to have teachers over-rule what you know is best for your kids. I've had issues in the past with my eldest's teachers. I hope she's feeling better x

Weather is gloomy here too and also my DH's pc went kaput yesterday so we're currently sharing while it gets fixed. Not being online gave me time to finish my Waterstones book though so now I just have to reiew it.
