Well I hate to tell you, but I did find out earlier that it is now only 99 days to Christmas so its not in treble figures anymore so I think yes we are allowed to talk about it. I always ask for the 3 S's: Smellies, socks and Slippers.

I know of one person doing the GNR today. He goes to my running club. Im doing it next year. I figured that if I can go from running nothing to 6.2 miles in 6 months then I can go from 6.2 miles to 13.1 miles in 12 months. One of my friends from my running club is doing it and has already said I should do it with her. Ive always wanted to do it so Im going to go for it. When I watch it on TV and see some of the people doing it I just think 'well they are everyday normal people like me so why can't I do it' So next year I'll be there. Im hoping to do another 10K in the next 5 or 6 weeks too.

Ive stopped entering like and share comps too. I saw that quote above too and I totally agree
Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:

  • On the subject of the C word, my most thoughtful present last year was a big pile of pretty postcards, a nice pen and lots of books of stamps. How lovely is that?

I'm shattered. I foolishly agreed to a Company coming to deep clean our living/dining room carpets tomorrow morning. I couldn't have timed it any worse. DH is in bed between night shifts so all of the cleaning and moving furniture and all of the c*ap is down to me. In between doing the Times comp on a laptop that is precariously balanced on the back of a settee that is piled high with stuff. Poor Cooper, he just doesn't understand what is going on.

    Hi all:hello:

Just popped in to say that while reading The Sunday Times after a bit of a lie in, I've found another big comp. This time it's a daily for every day from today till next Saturday to win a £500 Net-A-Porter.com gift card.

    Comp post is here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4181599

It seems they're also doing it as an hourly next Sunday (23rd) but will post that separately nearer the time.

Having a quiet day today, really behind with my book reviews so will be writing those to try to get myself organised. Got 3 more books through yesterday so the pile of to-reads will be reaching the ceiling soon if I don't get on.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • I had a nice lie in too and missed the start of the Times comp. I've also missed several entires, every 30 minutes takes concentration :rotfl:

I also agree about the like and share comps, I rarely do them (about 2 a week) because I hate having it spam up my page and others.

I hope we are ok to mention the C word because I just spent a lovely hour or so sorting out pictures of my two DDs for decoupage memory boxes for them for Christmas. I feel all broody now after seeing their baby pics again

Hope you're all having a great Sunday xx

P.S. Zombie, that sounds doable. Go for it!!

May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx
