*waves* Didn't go well I'm sad to report. I've been feeling a bit down about it this week to be honest. It was in a school kitchen and I was chuffed to get it because of it fitting in with my kids hols (which is important to me).
Anyway, started on monday and it seemed great. Everyone was friendly and I got on with the work ok. But when actual lunch time hit they put me on the huge dishwasher and the heat got to me. I fainted due to being stood up for several hours with no break or drinks etc. At the end of the day they told me they'd called the agency to ask for someone else since I couldn't take the heat.
Thanks for asking about itHope everyone else had a good week. I did have a few nice wins to cheer me up and I feel in better spirits now once I've put it into perspective! Back to job hunting I go
May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx0 -
O'h Purple that is a shame. It seems rotten not to let you have a fair shot at the job. Two of my sons are chefs (one an apprentice) and they tell me how stressful and tiring it is working in kitchens.
Well done on the wins anyway.
Sounds like you had a lovely day fire**fly.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Really sorry to hear that ps, it must have been awful for you. Something else will come alongI'm sure. How does that saying go? If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen! Glad you had some wins to cheer you up.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Thanks for clearing that up FireFly, only been on here since March, obviously not very observant am I!
What can I say Purple Skull, I think they were very unfair on you, that wasn't a real trial in my opinion, it could have happened to anyone, and no break working in the heat is not on is it. No wonder you are feeling down. Have you asked the agency if there is anything else? Lets hope something comes along soon.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Wow - wish my shopping trips were as productive as yours Becks!
Would never go past Dulux paint, cheap makes seem to need loads of extra coats.
Wish peeps would stop mentioning Xmas though. Everyone moans at me as I never know what I want. DH is so easy to please - malt whisky, aftershave or T-shirts to mention a few.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

We used wilko paint in bedroom and one coat covered it perfectly but wasnt going to pass the 2 for £20 offer as meant second tin was about £1 :rotfl: and meant I got all 4 tins of paint needed in one go rather than two now two at a later date so pleased with that. They werent quite the colours i was after but will look gorgeous im sure£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

I feel tired after reading your busy post, Becks! Go you!
We had a nice day walking in the woods today and picked a bag full of blackberries so I'm quickly making some jam with it.
I know what you mean Sheils, pretty soon everyone will be asking me for gift ideas for me, hubby and kids. It's my least fav part of Ch#?*&£!%s

Sorry about the C word sheils i hadnt thought of it today but we went in Pandora today and mum asked if i wanted a bracelet for my birthday (she still hasnt bought my 30th present) truth is i fell in love with the idea but told her i wanted to have my wedding flowers as my birthday gift (they are currently being preserved and i will struggle to afford the framing i want so mum is happy to help for my birthday now i have asked) so now really want a Pandora charm bracelet for Christmas£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120
