Thanks To Cisco001: All those items look good but if AMD is slower then can't I get a similar tower with intel?

And thanks SailorSam, might just get a tower with that monitor.

Thanks a lot Jayme1 and Cisco001. But the build recommended by Jayme1 is not really cheaper.

The Medion one looks good, and buying some speakers and a good monitor will come under £500. But it's not really a top brand, so am a little worried on quality. Even though I have bought some Medion technology about 5/6 years ago and their still working fab but they were under £30.

I got these 2 specs put together, one from Chillblast and one from DinoPC. Both similar but DinoPC are cheaper. Is DinoPC good?

I've emailed chillblast to lower the price and they said they'll see what they can do. So fingers crossed.

Im getting a little frustrated :mad:with all this as the custom-built ones are starting to get expensive. Shall I just buy a OEM one. E.g. Dell, HP, Packard Bell etc.

    Please any good reviewed recommendations.

Are you going to overclock the machine? If yes, get first. If not, second.

Regarding your question about custom build/ OEM machine, I would say it depends on if you are going to upgrade the machine in future yourself. Proper Custom build/ self build would be easier to make any changes.

I wasn't planning to overclock. But the only main difference between the first and second is the graphics. Which graphics are better? And why did you say the first one for overclocking?

They are getting expensive because your picking specs are that are OTT for what you have said you need it for, you don't need an expensive intel ivybridge processor for day to day tasks...unless ofc you want to waste money.
If your not gaming, you don't need a dedicated GPU on board will be fine.

Dino PC has Stego 4100 Home/office PC that's cheaper and with simple changes HDD too 1TB 8gb DDR Ram its questionable you need 8, 4 will prob do for your usage.

Yeah I thought I might be going OTT! I don't really know that much about computers but I want something that will work at the same speed for at least 5 years!
The Stego is AMD so I don't want that one but what about this one

My main worry being: is the i3 fast enough. How fast or slow might it be comparing it to the iPad 2? As I need something as fast. I do a lot of video editing.
