Tapped at his calculator muttering a few words........gave us a price...........phoned his boss to get a possible better offer and kappow..........his best price.

Yup, the sales rep was wanting us to sign that day too.


Any ideas on a round about cost of those doors and fitting. Our friends who have just had windows fitted think that £2200 isn't too bad.

Any company that does the "I will have to phone the boss" rubbish should be avoided.

If you go to a reputable local company, then they will send a rep round, who will measure up, ask you what you want, then send you a quote for it. No requirement to sign up on the day, and no bogus "special discounts".

When I used double glazing on the web they sent a surveyor round to ensure my measurements were correct, then they confirmed the price quoted from the website was true and we agreed that a fitter would attend to do the work on the following wednesday.
They didnt send a few salesmen round??
