Yeah yeah... Hoarding champers for the apocalypse. I'm onto you.0

In fairness, that would be high on Mrs McT's list of things to hoard for the apocalypse.

You should do what I do. Wean her over to Cava. It's far cheaper, and good Cava is better than poor Champers.
But make sure you keep enough Moet, or Laurent-Perrier for yourself.
Time was when Mrs LM would have been happy with Asti. But sadly I've dragged her so far out of the gutter that it's starting to cost me.....0 -
Pah, novices!
Why head for Greece, a country with plenty of internet connections and working electricity?
What the real hardcore regulars (where is Asheron btw?) would do is sail to Albania, ration themselves to a diet of Norman Wisdom movies and set up home in one of these:

Well, Louboutins make quite a weapon, apparently:

Why is it nasty? That is a period Georgian property.0 -

Good idea.... although if I could get her to drink poor Champers to begin with, it might help the process along a bit.
But make sure you keep enough Moet, or Laurent-Perrier for yourself.
Not a fan I'm afraid.
I remain convinced you can get better quality for the same price by staying with less well known producers like Cattier, if you watch out for inconsistency between years.
Although Mrs McT will just about drink either if she really has to, and there's absolutely nothing better in the building.Time was when Mrs LM would have been happy with Asti. But sadly I've dragged her so far out of the gutter that it's starting to cost me.....
Mrs McT was teetotal when I met her..... Introducing her to the delights of decent drink may have been a slight tactical error on my part.
Whilst to date she seems to mostly be content with typical, (although untypically expensive), "girly fodder", quite worryingly I've caught her eyeing up my single malt collection of late.
I did briefly toy with the idea of moving the malts to the gun safe, but of course they wouldn't all fit unless I relocate the guns to behind the bar....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Shhhhhhhh!!!
She might be reading over my shoulder, and we wouldn't want to give her any ideas...
(Although I suspect she'd recoil in horror at the thought of getting blood on her Louboutins, there's probably a cheaper pair of Choos in there somewhere)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

My tent is Victorian, and Grade II listed.0 -
Oh, and can I just say thanks ever so much for the bizarre imagery of this thread so far.
I swear to Dionysus if I have strange dreams tonight about a sozzled Mrs McTavish storming an Albanian bunker while wielding my Holland and Holland and wearing Louboutins, I'm sending the bill for my shrink to you lot....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
