We live in a 1970's Semi, with cavity wall insulation and double glazing. There are 3 bedrooms, and converted loft room. We usually have the CH (7 radiators all with TRV's) on for 1-2 hours and same at night, unless it is extremely cold, using a Living flame (flueless with catalytic converter) if more heat is required.0 -
What temp 'on' though?
The average 70's semi will not have been that well insulated from scratch. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Between 18 - 20 roughly, the loft was insulated under the floor and between the ceiling and roof tiles.

We find the temperature pleasant, and even end up turning the heating off at times. The rooms are probably on the smaller size and there is generally 6 people in the house at night & weekends0
