You annual gas usage is still unbelievably low considering you have gas CH and water.
Check that you are being billed for the correct type of meter, it could be that you have an imperial meter and are being billed for a metric one.

    My meter is metric.
My gas usage from 13/10/11 to 18/04/12 was 4569Kwh and cost me £214.54 based on actual meter readings.

Is the house hardly being heated in winter? Or only occupied part of the time?
Your winter usage is absurdly low.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

We live in a 1970's Semi, with cavity wall insulation and double glazing. There are 3 bedrooms, and converted loft room. We usually have the CH (7 radiators all with TRV's) on for 1-2 hours and same at night, unless it is extremely cold, using a Living flame (flueless with catalytic converter) if more heat is required.

    What temp 'on' though?
The average 70's semi will not have been that well insulated from scratch.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Between 18 - 20 roughly, the loft was insulated under the floor and between the ceiling and roof tiles.

currently paying £21 for gas and £69 for electric a month and my gas usually ends up in credit

That may explain your very low bills, the 'average' is around 21C. It's said that a 1C reduction can reduce your heating bills by 10%.

We find the temperature pleasant, and even end up turning the heating off at times. The rooms are probably on the smaller size and there is generally 6 people in the house at night & weekends
