    it's almost certainly not TWOC either, as the person taking it believed that he had the owner's permission. It makes no difference whether the owner had the same understanding or not - It's the intent of the person who took it that's important.

    It's just a misunderstanding that's had some significant consequences, not a criminal matter.

    I would be less than happy LV had decided where it was to be repaired.
    Mine goes to a dealers bodyshop, of my choice.

    I'd be very fussy when it comes back, and I'd certainly want the bodywork warranty stamped, and accepted.
