She`s sent another abusive post today which is being logged on the Resolution Centre. I have stated now that I`m not replying to her abusive posts and will wait unil 30th August when it can be escalated to Ebay to make a decision......one way or t`other!
  • Sounds like she's going to end up losing by default of, er, not handling things very well, shall we say!

    Hi,

All well so far and lots of positive feedback until this buyer of a Ted Baker winter coat 12-18 months wants to return the coat because" I have misled her" as she wanted a long coat.

Can you find this coat - or similar on any official retailer sites like Debenhams etc. or even on Ted Baker own site? If so, and it's described as a coat there, then I think you could use the fact the manufactuer describes it as a coat as evidence you did not mislead but merely listed it as it was originally sold.
Also, did you list the dimensions - length - when you described it? All this will help your cause. Or did you picture it shown being worn?

I really hope you win this one because it sounds like your buyer is a complete PITA.

Do not offer a partial refund! Clearly a buyer wanting something for nothing, or a complete idiot!

Just ignore until case is closed.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    Update

    Hello xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

s.gifA case has been opened because the buyer has an issue with an item purchased from you. We've reviewed the case and have decided to issue the buyer with a full refund of £6.30. The refund includes the purchase price plus original postage & packaging. The hold on this PayPal transaction has been removed.

This case is now closed. You aren't required to reimburse the buyer or eBay, and this case will not be counted in your seller performance evaluation.

You can view the details of the case in the Resolution Centre.

It also says I am not at fault..................

Tonight I saw that the buyer has written really nasty feedback.." avoid this seller" etc. I have emailed Ebay( again!) and asked them to remove the comments and of course my 100% feedback is lost.

    Any thoughts please?

Don't respond to the FB while you're angry, as you'll make yourself look a plonker.
Some buyers are always going to be a pain. Generally best to offer a full refund on return as they generally win a dispute, at least you didn't have to refund her. She has though got a free coat & ruined your FB.
  • Dont quote me but I seem to remember a while ago when eBay made changes to the feedback policy, that in cases of abuse being directed that they could remove unwarranted negative feedback... You may have to trawl through the feedback section or maybe even give them a call again but check that out as like someone else pointed out the buyer is a complete waster, totally undeserved on you as it seems.

If you've not received it back then I seriously doubt she sent it and therefore has got a free coat... oops sorry, a free jacket. ;)

At least you're not out of pocket. I hope you can get ebay to remove the feedback.

Your buyer hasn't achieved anything, but has lost approx £4 (return postage) and has had a negative buying experience,in her opinion she didn't get the coat/jacket she expected and is out of pocket the return postage whilst you have the £6.30 sale money and the coat/jacket to sell again.

You ought to refund her the return postage, you will still be £2.30 in pocket and can resell the coat/jacket.
