Temporary Foster Home for my Rottweiler?

Hi. I'm having a real nightmare trying to sort out a home for my male Rottweiler
To cut a long story short, I've been forced to move out of my home and back to my parents, and I am unable to take my dog wth me. Is there anywhere that would take him on a temporary basis, and then when I find a place of my own, I could get him back? Do such schemes exist? I really, really don't want to lose him - he's my life, and this situation is destroying me. I've asked frieds and family if they can help, but because of the breed, they are unwilling to do so
He's so loveable and soft, he wouldn't hurt anyone. Unfortunately, people have misconceptions of the breed, and that's why I can't find anyone to take him. Obviously, I would pay for his upkeep and any vet bills, but I want to do whatever I can to prevent losing him
I'm based in West Yorkshire
If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it
Thanks

Maybe try Zep the Dep Rottie rescue incase they can give some advice. Try the Dogpages forum too - there's a section you can appeal for volunteers, e.g. temp fosterer, and I'm sure some more savvy people may have some recommendations of charities/groups to try in your area (I'm way down South so no idea what's available to you, sorry)0

Zep the Dep did not help us with Bruno
You may need to pay for boarding and it is going to be very expensive0 -
Would the Dogs Trust's Freedom Project be able to help?

Unfortnately, that doesn't appy to me, so wouldn't really be of any use - thanks though!0 -
The cinnamon trust used to be able to take pets as a temporary measure if the owner had to go into hospital or had some life crisis going on.
Don't know if they could help you though, or even if they still exist.0 -
What about boarding kennels, how long is it for? I'm guessing it's unlikely but does your pet insurance cover kennelling in emergencies?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Hi
Have you tried asking your local vet if there is a scheme that they know of available locally.
Also try contacting your local RSPCA branch.
Another one to try is The blue cross, as I think they may run a fostering service, ( a quick google search could help with this)
Sorry I can't be of further help, but am more than a little fragile tonight,
(our beautiful Border Collie , who has been our loving, loyal companion for the past 14 years, has sadly had to be put to sleep this morning, so am devastated at the moment).
I wish you luck, and hope you manage to get sorted.
Good luck.0 -
Can't your parents stretch a point and allow your dog to move back home with you?0
