Guestzillias!!!!!

WARNNING MAY CONTAIN RANTS! we all heard the phrase bridezilla but lately I come up with another one guestzillas as I'm so fend up with bitting my tongue and smilling through gritting teeth at the things that people have said to me over our wedding wondered if any of you had the same experience.

here are mine:

'that not very convience. It in term term and your cousins won't be able to come'-when we annouce the wedding date the wedding whilst in term time is on a Saturday.

'Where I'm I going to stay'- I had booked accomediation for my mum , sister bms and brother. sent out an email to all guests advise them where accomediation was available I didn't realise I also had to book for extended family!'

'Well so and so will be staying in with you as they have a dog that can't be left alone!'- I didn't invite the dog to the wedding besides two of our guest are allergic to dogs and the venues like most only allow dogs for the disabled which this dog is not! and all the accomidation we checked out allowed dogs.

'You have to invite so and so to the wedding cause I need them to put up so and so'- sorry but surely it up to us who we invite to the wedding.

'you don't tell me the bride what your doing (to the groom) you just do it she'll do what she's told'

despite going through timings and advising people on them and what was happening when.this is as classic 'I have to get back to feed the dog therefore leave an hour early' different person to the other the fact that the reception is less than two minutes away from where they live surely the dog won't starve if fed two later!

'There's hanging around' - an hour for the cermony two hours for photos time to get to reception drinks and nibbles on hand the guests free to roam the grounds where the ceronmy is taking place I dont think this is hanging around anymore than normal. But then maybe I'm being a bridezilla thinking that the above are things yoyu don't say to a bride.

One of our guests "You know I dont eat onions or mushrooms". Erm, sorry, I asked for dietary requirements, not your fussy likes or dislikes. Not that our meal contains either, but even if it did you would just have to pick them out!

The amount of guests who have asked us where to book a room (ie direct with the hotel or through a booking website) is unreal. Not that I mind telling them once or twice. But not every time me or OH see you.

I would never ask anyone to change their menu to accomediate me whilst i'm a veggie that is my choose and i'm quite happy just having veg.

maybe you should get a tape recorder or such like when they ask you again.

I'm quite happy to accomodate anyone who has a certain diet/ allergy/ any other valid reason why they can't have certain foods. This friend is just extremely fussy (he once took his own food to a BBQ that we were having because he only likes a certain type of burger).
I have an extreme dislike of celery (so bad that I gag if I even smell it) but would never dream of telling the bride and groom that they need to take special notice of my dislikes.

Grrr don't talk to me about dietary requirements. Lol
One of the guests who I kind of felt obliged to invite says they are vegetarians. But the kids eat meat and the husband eats good quality steak. Won't eat mayonnaise, will only eat free range eggs, doesn't eat crisps etc. these are the only guests giving me food grief. My 2 uncles will not eat buffet food and are actually bringing packed lunches lol but I don't mind that!!

Oh and guests leaving it till a fortnight before to book the hotels, then expecting me to pay for them! I told all my guests where the hotel was, what the price is and they've left it do late it's now 3 times the price
My big fat eBay wedding £1200 budget! 1st September 2012!!
