B&Q - 17% Off Over the Bank Holiday

Hi All,

B&Q called me last night ref my new bathroom quotes. They wanted to let me know they are having a sale this weekend 17% off all bathroom products.

Thought you might like to know! :money:

:jI received a similar offer from the mighty B&Q only last week. A 20% discount over the weekend if you signed up to their B&Q club which I duly did. At the checkout I was informed of a "Minimum spend" attatched to the offer:mad:, I declined and tried to cancel my application only to receive an e-mail 10mins ago that I have to jump through a number of very small hoops:j to cancel, what is in effect self created SPAM, if you are over trusting and do not read the very small print. No doubt you may well feel pressurised:eek: to buy within a small time frame for what is a major purchase in order to "save" 17%. How long have the prices shown over the holiday weekend, been marked at that price???? Also if enough other people fall for the "holiday bargain" what is the length of queue to have your kitchen supplied/fitted?:o Buyer beware, I for one will not be jumping through any hoops for B&Q. :j

but its bank hol - b&q and homebase always do discounts on the bank hol weekends

You have to wonder with any retailer about specific offers whether they are good value. Now the 20% off one last weekend was good, as it was off everything, including stuff already on offer... so as long as you do your homework, you can grab a bargain. I got myself a new cordless drill... dead chuffed!

there was one last weekend? darn I thought it would be this weekend so didn't even think to go last week.

The minimum spend last week was only £20- I can barely walk into B&Q without spending at least double that...
