Quite right. Three weeks out of four I have the symptoms of an unstable nutter, but hey, it's just a period so just suck it up.:(princessdon wrote: »Ok I did say I know nothing about it :rotfl:
So why is OP not been given the same advice as others who have depression etc?0 -

yeah that's my feelings (I admit I know zero about it) but from what you have said it must be really unpleasant and hard to hold down a job and family etc. I just feel that people are making the symptoms more trivial because they are as a result of hormones.
I genuinely admit I don't get that - given how much sympathy and advice other OP's get.0 -

I can assure you on that occasion I was polite. I asked( not shouted) politely for him to wait until I had finished serving (as in actively putting things through the till) my customer. He didnt want to wait, I said I would be 2 secs. He wanted serving there and then.
I'd love to know how you can say I can't blame my feelings on PMT. Some months there are THREE WEEKS of being like a psychotic looney. I've served THOUSANDS of customers, I've only ever made a derogatary remark to ONE of them. I think I've held it together quite well to be honest.
I did say the reason why I do not think you can blame all these feeling on PMT is because the public can be hard for anyone to work with, PMT or not, as your run in with the guy who swore at you proves.
If you have served thousands of customers sorry THOUSANDS of customers and only ever made a derogatory remark to ONE (I'm getting the hang of these caps now) of them, I can't see the need to stop working.
Taking the meds would be an idea too, now you know not taking them makes to a grumpy sod.0 -
Not meaning to be rude Face1992 but I think you need to take some responsibility for your own wellbeing. People need to be on long term sick when they have a health condition that CANNOT be managed and so CANNOT work. You can manage the condition better than you are at present by consistently taking prescribed medication.
Secondly look for a job where it matters less if you have mood swings. Thirdly look at trying to balance your hormones and control your stress levels with diet and exercise. Low glycaemic index to stabilise your blood sugar, eat little and often, plenty of fibre to sweep out waste sex hormones, magnesium rich foods (nuts, seeds, beans, lentils) and plenty of oily fish for stress management and hormone production. Avoid sugar and white refine carbs like the plague. Exercise anything high intensity providing you are physically healthy, Boxercise for example is particularly good for relieving frustration. You might find a physical job is helpful.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

That's no way to live: and I write as one who spent 3 weeks of every month liable to turn into a blubbering wreck, and the 4th week bleeding heavily. Do get help.I'd love to know how you can say I can't blame my feelings on PMT. Some months there are THREE WEEKS of being like a psychotic looney.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
It is clear from the other thread the OP started that she doesn't want help. What she wants is to quit work and claim benefits.0
-
God help her then on this board, as many people here bash benefit claimants continually even when they are asking legitimate questions.0
-
get sick pay for pmt im sorry but thats ridiculus there are genuine people who need to claim who cant but unfortunately too many people want money for nothing
it may sound harsh but if you cant manage/cope with your job put up with it untill you can find another0
