Renting house with nightmare neighbours

I really don't know what to do except move. I know that with more of a back bone I could fight and win this one, but I'm not sure I'm up for the battle.
Livmad.....not wanting to live in constant strife with one's aggressive and/or noise intolerant neighbour has NOTHING to do with not having a sufficient back bone.
Not everone WANTS to engage in a frustrating, daily tit-for-tat banging routine. Thats tantamount to winning the battle but losing the war.
If you feel that any effort to resolve this issue would be futile - which you seemingly do - moving on ASAP is a smart decision.0 -
You should assess how much noise you are making. Some people or families are louder than others. If you are not being unreasonably noisy by shouting or banging doors etc then there is little else you can be expected to do.Thanks everyone. I really appreciate all the kind replies. I really don't know what to do except move. I know that with more of a back bone I could fight and win this one, but I'm not sure I'm up for the battle. This morning we did bang back and nothing else was said about it, but I feel sick just being at home and that's not right! I hate having to uproot my children again, but what else can I do?0 -
As I explained to one of my neighbours at the old house who liked a whinge about anything.
I work 50 hours a week.
I take pride in my house.
I don't have parties.
I don't do drugs.
In short, there are far worse people you could have living next door.
And if you !!!! me off.... I might choose to be one.
I'll live my life my way thank you, you keep out of my business, and I won't get involved in yours.
One of his grumbles was that I had a few old cars outside the house (my toys as I call them) and that I sometimes worked on them at the weekend. That grumble disolved one morning when he had a dead battery and needed a jump start
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0
